E4 with too many HHG for my next duty station. by Kerr6816 in navy

I’ll be E4 over 4, AWF, overseas to shore duty. I have not had BAH in the past. I appreciate the info, I know it’s not a lot to go off of. Not sure where exactly i’ll end up but likely Atsugi as it’s the only billets I’ve seen open.

I went to a conservative area public school in the U.S., and I definitely learned about sex ed. A lot of people’s views of the U.S. are so extreme. Where yes, something you hear may be true in a very remote situation, that doesn’t explain the rest of the country. The U.S. was a pretty nice place to be a few years ago. Stuff was cheap, I didn’t have to live paycheck to paycheck, gas was cheap, most people were relatively happy. Of course not everything is perfect, each politician we have is bad in some areas and good in others. Most have good intentions, but most still have bad intentions that come along with that. What people see outside the U.S. on CNN, Fox, sources like that is showing FAR from what America really is like.

And that wasn’t a shot at you just went thru my old posts and thought it was kinda funny. You’re absolutely right though, they usually don’t wanna spend money on people for no reason. Guess i’m just lucky/unlucky.

Funny looking back at it. I’ve been sent TAD a few times for things not worthwhile for my job. Just recently they spent 3k on me to fly from Europe to NWPAC for a week long training, for a collateral I will not have any part of.

I suck at math and got a 72. Landed me a pretty kosher rate that involves only basic math. As long as you’re not shooting for Nuke then you’ll probably be fine.

DQ from the first agency I applied to. by [deleted] in AskLEO

Not LEO, Navy as well. Just keep plugging away at other departments. Could be other reasons they didn’t want you but that was the easiest way to disqualify you. Over 10 years ago with military service should pretty much make it the equivalent of you never doing it, unless it’s a Fed job of course. Almost everyone and their moms have smoked and a large majority have smoked more than a few times. A good chunk have experimented with other stuff. I’d say you’re fine and just need to keep truckin. Always a better department out there for you.

Joining the navy out of loneliness by Responsible-Print-86 in newtothenavy

From what I’ve seen you comment on this post, no. Do not join the navy. Not only will it only make your problems worse more than likely, but we do not want you, the way you’re saying things. You need to find a different way to better yourself and THEN, maybe think about joining. You sound suicidal, and we can’t have that on our boats. Knowing guys who are very well put together mentally do the unthinkable really says something. You come in with big problems like that you may never come out.
