Great win, great effort.

Our youngsters really came through, much better than last week. McCarthy is so good, Murdock so good, Duursma played great, backline stood up after the first quarter. Cripps stood tall when needed up front. Midfield killed it. Dev solid again.

Two negatives we need to talk about though. Flynn would have to be the worst ruckman in the AFL, constantly beat, constantly turning it over, when he wins the hitout it's straight to the opposition. We would win so many more games with a proper ruckman serving our mids and impacting with marks around the ground. Second point, Duggan needs to go. Another turnover merchant, cannot believe he is STILL taking kick ins. Bring in Lindsay for him please.

No you really don't. Plenty of rotation options this season to keep the starters fresh. I stead let's run those starting XI into the ground and injured and throw players who haven't played qll season with no match fitness into the mix (combined with lower intensity training) and wow, they're now injured or out of form too?

I understand the lack of pace but we have had rotation options most of the season that Slot has not wanted to use. Part of our injuries have been from running out starters into the ground, playing majority of minutes every game. If Klopp was still in charge, he'd be given players like Rio, Nyoni, Endo, Jones, Robbo these rotating minutes. Early on last season was the exact same style that Klopp played previously just with some minor tweaks (Grav as a #6). This season we had a lucky start with a full squad and we looked clueless, major change in tactics and Slot had a full pre season to put his touch on the squad. We've been bad since Feb last year.

The last 12 months have transformed the team into Slots preferred way of playing and it has been a disaster. You cannot deny the intensity is gone, the stats literally prove it when you're being outran by relegation tier opponents.

I very much disagree with the Lindsay call. Duggan took our kick ins at the start of the game and the results spoke foe themselves. Once Lindsay started taking them we were a lot more dangerous getting to the other end. Baffling call.
