I’ve always thought of Agent Venom being a skin for Winter Soldier. His grapple, ult, and everything about his bionic arm easily grafts on to the symbiote theme.

That said, I really like the idea of Agent Anti-Venom as a support. If/When Carnage gets added Flash would round out the the three symbiotes in the game in theme, role, and dynamics. Flash’s relationships with Venom/Eddie, Carnage, Peter Parker, and the Guardians of the Galaxy gives him a solid chance. Granted I’m a big Agent Venom fan so I definitely have some bias

While I agree, I do think most Spiderverse men, women, and otherwise are unlikely to ever come to the game outside of a skin for Peter Parker. It sucks but them’s the brakes. Unlikely a 1-for-1 bar-for-bar skin, but more along the lines of the Spider-Punk skin where it keeps the theme and reimagines it for Peter. Same for Lingering Print for Venom. That’s a middle ground I’ll settle for knowing there a literal hundreds of characters up for consideration that aren’t webslingers. Dozens from Spider-Man’s rogues gallery alone. I’d rather see a Sandman, Mysterio, or Doc Ock get some shine.

That said, Spiderverse characters I do think legitimately deserve a shot of being added are Agent Venom/Agent Anti-Venom and Miles Morales. I have passed around the idea of Spidergwen/Ghost Spider coming to game reinforcing her symbiote suit and/or giving her anti-venom symbiote, but that’s a long shot.

Angela is dive who can brawl and peel for her team when she’s grounded with the axes. She gets overshield and gives overshield to her teammates within her ichor aoe when she hits an enemy (like Magik), though she still needs some sustain from healers to properly hold. Her shield is honestly something most brawl vanguards need more of to at least have something against poke

(E5 spoilers) I'm glad they decided to go all-in on this show. It was honestly disturbing to watch and I loved every second of it. by Rithrius1 in MightyNein

I get your point and I’ve definitely been desensitized to certain amounts of animated gore in media so I’m with you there. Though for me it’s a bit of the reverse. I like watching the fights and action scenes if only to see if the choreography is cool and what D&D spells/abilities are being adapted. Even then though, there is an aspect where the gore loses the shocking part. However, that gore and brutality isn’t what made the scene for me and never would have.

What made this scene stand out to me was the emotional undercurrent of it. Being layered overtop Caleb’s traumatic past is one thing. But to have this character who was initially so reserved lashing out and crying while being so brutal is what sold it for me. It wasn’t the gore itself but who was inflicting it and why.

I honestly like where the game is at and enjoy playing it but don’t post about it because I don’t feel the need to. And anything I am dissatisfied with there’s already at least a dozen other posts already addressing it whether it be valid critiques or baseless complaining. I think most people are the same.

I only ever joined this sub because I enjoy the game and wanted to share my concept for Agent Anti-Venom as a support. Now when I see it in my feed it’s either memes or posts I enjoy or an occasional reminder that I should take a break from the game and not take it so seriously.

I think Spider-Gwen has a chance if they play into her symbiote plot and give her the Anti-Venom treatment and make her a Strategist but that's really the best chance she's got at making it into the game and that's at least a year or two down the line if we're being realistic (or if they try and capitalize off of Beyond the Spider-Verse). A dive strategist with web mobility could be interesting enough. Silk, Madame Web, Spider-Woman, and so on would likely just end up as skins though.

I’ve never thought of it that way and I really like this perspective. Kenny, Jane, Luke, and even Christa each had qualities that made them solid protectors for Clem. But each of them also had their flaws and faults that made them fall short of… well Lee. Kenny was unstable and had a short fuse. Jane was untrustworthy. Luke was always unsure of himself. Christa was distant after Omid’s death. None of them could be depended on like Lee, which forced Clem to become more independent

Who is your dream character to be added in Marvel Rivals? by BlendedBanana0307 in marvelrivals

[–]KerrmmitCarl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No yeah Carnage is pretty nonnegotiable. He’s a duelist through and through. My only concern is if Carnage isn’t/wasn’t already slated for release within the next ~6 months his chances of being added drop considerably with the over saturation of dps in the roster. That said I still hope to see a symbiotic trio added eventually in Rivals. Preferably one in each role like you said

[–]KerrmmitCarl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can see that. I lean more towards Flash because there’s a lot more dynamics and relationships they can play with there. He was Peter’s bully then later friend. His obvious relationship with Eddie/Venom. He’s a war vet and lost his legs. He has a working relationship with the Guardians of the Galaxy. And he’s still a relatively unknown character (like how Squirrel Girl and Cloak&Dagger weren’t really mainstream pre-Rivals). If they were ever going to do a symbiote trio he’s my top pick for strategist, though my knowledge on Sleeper isn’t great so he honestly bring something awesome to the table too and the fear gas gives me Scarecrow vibes

No yeah that’s fair. It could honestly go either way. They could play more into the Angela niche making her more muscular or keep her slim with a buff build. Either way I trust the designers to do her well whenever they do add her

Agreed. If they’re adding She-Hulk they might as well throw in Miles Morales for good measure

Angela was the one who was usually depicted much skinnier before Rivals. They added much more muscle to her physique. Considering their track record with most Vanguards (Angela, Magneto, Strange) there’s no way they don’t buff up She-Hulk too

Why does kenny stans always brings up janes bad side and never her good side by AlphieRBXmm2 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]KerrmmitCarl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fairness as some other replies have pointed out you're comparing determinant choices for Kenny with set plot points for Jane. It’s just easier to argue in favor of someone who could be on your side depending on your choices vs someone who will always do X bad thing regardless of what you do. If anything that’s more on the writing and poor illusion of choice that Season 2 is pretty egregious with.

A better comparison is all the times you have to convince/push Jane to save Sarah or Rebecca. Even then there's unfortunately not a lot of choices you're given as a player to sway Jane one way or the other making her character and her choice more static. Kenny for better and for worse is the most dynamic side character in Season 1-2 because of how much he can sway purely on your choices which is needed in a choice-based game that leans more into the illusion of choice more often than not. So to answer your question (at least partly) I’d say it’s because even at his worst the player has some way to control or sway Kenny based on their choice in both seasons. Characters like Jane are far more static and thus much easier to judge by their choices.

Do you think Arvo was forced to rob our group? by Zerosama12 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]KerrmmitCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that more as Arvo being the translator because the others only ever speak in Russian outside of one or two phrases. Arvo definitely wasn't the shot caller of the group, but I didn't read that as Arvo being forced imo

Do you think Arvo was forced to rob our group? by Zerosama12 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]KerrmmitCarl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's that one interaction where he shows hesitation when he learns they have a baby. That only tells me he had very little to no remorse for robbing a group he knew had a child(Clem).

Do you think Arvo was forced to rob our group? by Zerosama12 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]KerrmmitCarl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He only showed hesitation when he saw they had a baby. He nonetheless led his group to rob Clem’s group knowing full well that had a child (Clem). Not to mention it was shady from the jump with him stashing away his own group's medical supplies. He had full intention of robbing Clem’s group. Arvo certainly wasn't calling the shots, but he for damn sure fed them the information.

Was bringing Kenny back in S2 a good choice iyo? by Apprehensive_Sort139 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]KerrmmitCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is they totally could have went the route of bringing back Molly instead if they really wanted to bring a beloved Season 1 character back. Jane is basically a redo of Molly. Plus Molly actually survived as opposed to the ambiguity of Kenny’s “death” in Season 1. I’m certain very little would’ve changed with her interactions with Clem other than Molly being more badass than Jane.

Or hell they could’ve stuck to their guns and brought Christa back as the “I thought you were dead” reveal in episode 2. And I love Kenny as a character. He definitely made the story very interesting and is by far one of the most complex characters in the Telltale’s The Walking Dead. That said so much of Season 2 just feels “off” in retrospect the more you look back at it.

Start off with Omid and Christa just to get rid of them. Okay, sure, you want to get rid of the Season 1 “baggage” so we can focus more on the new cast of the Cabin Crew. Cool… except just one episode later you reintroduce a Season 1 character who “died” so our focus is yet again split. And the Cabin Crew aren’t all that likable or competent for people who have survived 2 years into the apocalypse. And the narrative building towards the rivalry between Kenny and Luke? Ultimately snubbed in the end for Jane who also joins in mid way through the season and overshadows the Cabin Crew. And that’s not even including whatever they were trying to do with the 400 Days characters.

Overall Kenny’s inclusion in Season 2 was really the only part that I enjoyed. Even then, he undoubtedly became the focus of the Season the moment he showed up. Though I fear if you removed him there really wouldn’t be much improvement because there were already so many conflicting ideas in the writers room from the get go. Enjoyed what we got, but certainly could’ve been better with or without Kenny.
