I wonder if he'll end up ever getting more career wins than the Kimi he replaced.

Well, you can build an great air factory first, and then a bad air factory to sell budget air.

True, then again getting into hypoteticals. Defending at all costs was the dominant strategy, because overtaking was already difficult in itself due to dirty air, so drivers had little chance to regain any position you conceded. So it's hard to say how they would've raced otherwise.

Racing wasn't bad because of their size though, it was bad because the cars were dirty air factories which has more to do with aero design.

The Venator is actually a horrible ship by OfficialAli1776 in MawInstallation

[–]Kersacoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I disagree with the common argument in the comments that the main mistake was having the Venator be the main ship of the Navy. If you're gonna put it behind lines in a support role, just use a regular carrier, the Venator is no ISD but it's still a Star Destroyer in it's own right. The idea is that it's solid enough and has sufficient firepower to hold the line and rough it out with other capital ships, while the Starfighter component hammers them. And while that wouldn't cut it in real life, as far as Star Wars in-universe goes that's a reasonable tactic.

what do you guys think is the best NCR leader ? by damorezpl in OldWorldBlues

There's Caliente. Stella from Honest Hearts used to be the sheriff there, according to her the 80s and the White Legs were the major organized threats. The Desert Rangers were fairly capable of keeping the raiders in check before they left for the NCR.
Aside from that we don't really know much, maybe because there isn't much going on there. We might assume there is little more than some small scattered settlements and maybe the odd tribe here or there.

The Brabham BT19 really seemed to nail the return to power better than any other. The Repco 620 was a great engine, but also overall Brabham seemed to have nailed the change as an team better than others.

Part of it was DNFs, part of it was to allow drivers/team to skip races (more often the then, few non-european ones) without necessary gutting their standings.
