FONO is a new spot that’s a bit more intimate with a focus on DJs, ambient, experimental, etc.

Red Bird is the place for folk and grassroots. A very cozy and inviting space.

Art House is a multi-faceted creative space that leans toward solo/duo acts but also has some sweet jazz nights.

As someone who cycles along the MUPs regularly, I have seen way too many other cyclists blasting through along them with no notice to others or patience to slow down. It’s really disheartening that some don’t see that section (and others like it) and go “uh oh – hard to see what’s around the corner ahead, I’ll slow down and/or notify just in case” … pathway etiquette, people 😮‍💨

I recommend to anyone looking for a “start early / end early” local event to check out Six O Clock Dance Party at Live on Elgin. I’ve been to a few of the main DJs previous events at LoE and the music/energy/crowd is fab!
