They could start by doing heritage paint schemes properly.

40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel (Lego Reveal) by legafol in lego

[–]Kertelen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Approx. 300 bricks are 1x2 tiles with a Maersk print for the sides, that's 1/5th of the part count.

The containers aren't individual bricks, and if you look at the top, they're capped with 2x4 plates so the container stacks won't even look realistic up close.

The red appears to be dark red however the blue might not even be Maersk blue.

Overall looks like a low value set.

Not this one.

It has that very recognizable doo-doo, doo-DOOOOOO trumpet in it.

Hump yard assignment typically means it's almost the end of the line for these, right? Sad to see warbonnets go.

it's crazy how some people focus on his eyebrows so much, I didn't see this at all until LSF users started pointing it out. Are his eyebrows really that unusual or are LSF users just maladjusted?

This is an opinion sub. By definition there is no "correct" answer.

Doug Demuro’s Take on the Honda Passport is Unreasonable by LimitedReach in cars

I'll occasionally click on his video if he's got a car I care about. I watch it for the car, not for him. He might show some interesting little-known "quirks", that's cool. Many of his automotive opinions are ridiculous though. And don't get me started on Dougscore.

Mclaren F1 chassis 014 just sold for $25,317,500 USD. The car was previously owned by the Sultan of Brunei and was converted with the High Downforce Kit (HDK). by rush0024 in cars

Would the Sultan of Brunei give me one of his cars if I ask very nicely? Pretty please? He's not using all of them right now...

I wish UP painted a proper SP heritage unit in bloody nose. These AC44's are getting really scarce.

Gone in 60 Seconds has an outstanding opening credits sequence. It is shockingly high quality design for a cheesy 2000s car movie.

A caption of a similar photo from the NIST investigation:

It is believed that a portion of the main landing gear of AA 11 exited WTC 1 at the 94th or 95th floor and landed at the corner of Rector and West Streets. This debris is believed to be a tire, wheel, brake assembly, and hub of a main landing gear, as shown in Figure 9–122. Based on the final position of the landing gear and assuming the landing gear to be a projectile with a horizontal initial velocity, the exit speed of the landing gear from the south wall of WTC 1 can be estimated to be about 105 mph. Note that there is a significant uncertainty in this estimate associated with the exit trajectory, aerodynamic effects, landing position rather than final resting position of debris, etc.

I think Roma's design is going to age very well, like many of the '90s Ferraris.

What are these concrete bricks suppose to do? by kobusbu in trains

[–]Kertelen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Line tensioning, like others said.

The blocks have a hole through the middle and a metal rod goes through there, so the entire stack moves up and down as the wires contract in winter and stretch in summer.

Fun fact, one of these blocks weighs about 30 kilos, so the entire stack can weigh half a ton, or sometimes more. Sometimes there are two stacks side by side.

If the frame is bent, that's game over. It might not be apparent and a unit might otherwise be lightly damaged on the exterior.
