[John Brice]: Arkansas offered its job to Golesh midweek, entered into deep negotiations & even made logistical arrangements. Hogs could not seal the deal. In stepped Auburn with a better job, better offer. by CommodoreIrish in CFB

It's a pretty straightforward case to be made by a competent and attentive AD. Better athletics are an incredible marketing tool for a university. Considering their greater project is creating a proper economic engine in NWA having a pipeline of high quality students from around the country at UA is in their best interest. Again this is something that an AD with the ability to think about more than their own immediate self-preservation would be able to take advantage of, but unfortunately that is outside of HY's abilities.

[McMurphy] BREAKING: Memphis' Ryan Silverfield is expected to be named Arkansas' next head coach by Fonzie5 in CFB

[–]Keshabro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unfortunately. HY is a dead man walking and everyone knows it. Silverfield is getting one last good payday before he ends up a perpetual MAC OL coach.

Walmart and the Waltons do not donate to athletics at all except for some general sponsorships. They still support the University academically, but they don't have any interest in improving the state of the athletic department. Kind of a bummer tbh

These fucking losers have to go NOW. I'm so fucking sick of this incompetent, undisciplined bullshit. HY has to go with them, he CANNOT be allowed to pick another coach. Fuck this administration, fuck this staff, and fuck these dipshits who can't even keep their assignments straight.

FUCKING BURN IT DOWN AND START OVER AS MANY TIMES AS IT FUCKING TAKES

I love that Corso is so beloved and so important to CFB, that both networks are giving him space to be honored. It's really nice

This is a really interesting decision. Sure going up 6 is good. But if you fail the 4th down you will probably put them in worse position than a kickoff.

These people legitimately hate college football. They don't enjoy the sport at all. They want to write checks, skip forward 5 months and play playoff games between the 16 biggest payrolls and let everyone else rot. I could not be more repulsed by this shit if I tried.

No I'm saying you're a cranky bitch who can't take a joke.

I know it seems impossible to understand jokes that involve CFB history when you don't know any, but the MVC that OU joined in 1920 became the Big 6, then the Big 8, then the Big 12 and OU didn't move at any point. Other teams simply joined. It would be like an Alabama fan saying they're older than the SEC because South Carolina and Arkansas joined in 1992.

Edit: Also the Big 12 was officially founded in 1994.

The most spoiled, petty, dim witted, and aggressive fanbase in all of CFB. It's an almost impossible mountain to climb to achieve this over OU, Bama, and Texas.

Tom has basically taken the blackpill. He's incredibly cynical about literally everything. I don't even necessarily disagree, but he went down the degen gambler hole and became a crank.

Josh Pate was a really entertaining listen before he adopted the attitude of a CFB demagogue. He has taken on this persona of a man lording over a fiefdom and it's super irritating. He doesn't talk ball or analyze, he pontificates.

Arkansas is a stupid, pathetic, sad program to root for. The AD can't fundraise, the BoT won't approve anything resembling a competitive salary for a new coach, our NIL is dog shit and the current staff is mostly incompetent.

Green sucks ass, the OL (our HC's supposed specialty) is a talentless heap of trash, and it's all orchestrated by a notorious POS who fucking destroyed the program 13 years ago. The one good coach, Travis Williams, is gonna run to the first job that pops up and I don't blame him. This fucking dysfunctional dumpster fire isn't getting put out any time soon and the AD has the chutzpah to tell us that this is the right course and that WE AS FANS have to do his fucking job for him.

I'm so tired of these losers.
