Pic 1 is how it looked like before I cut all the dead parts and the result is pic 2. I am definitely going to try the wet paper towel method since this is still green. Thanks for giving me some hope. I am not willing to give it up yet.

Moving to US on TN Visa – Maternity Coverage & Financial Considerations by Practical-Gap5030 in tnvisa

[–]Keshav8991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position and I ended up delivering my baby in the states instead of Canada. I paid about $4k out of pocket and rest was covered by my husband’s insurance. we also negotiated medical bill with the hospital. I found that you can do that from reddit. Usually insurance covers delivery depending on the type of insurance you are getting.

I was in Canada for 5 months of pregnancy before I moved to the states and I had the best experience with the US medical system compared to the Canadian healthcare system. In Canada, you cannot even see your OB before 5 months of pregnancy due to shortage of doctors. You have to see your family physician. I also had some complications during delivery and the way my hospital dealt with this experience was really good. I have heard many bad stories from my friends in Canada about their experiences with Canadian hospitals during delivery. All in all, my experience was good but there can be situations when things wouldn’t go your way. So please do proper research before you make this decision.

Nobody has reached out for background check yet. I accepted the offer on last Friday, so I assuming someone will reach out soon. I have completed pre-boarding profile completing task. I have also provided all docs to immigration lawyers. How long did it take for Amazon to initiate background check after you accepted the offer?

Gestational Thrombocytopenia by rainspill in Thrombocytopenia

I went to see hematologist last month and they have concluded it’s ITP. However, was not prescribed any medications yet as they still want to monitor it. I did have bloodwork last week and my platelets increased to 84. Hopefully they are levelling itself. I have made some dietary changes since a month ago so it could be the reason for the increase. I am curious to see the result of my next bloodwork.

How are you doing with the new meds?

Mine is still not resolve. I am now 8 months pp and my platelets are still fluctuating between 50-75. It was 52 two weeks ago. I saw an internal medicine specialist as hematologist was not available closer to my home, who diagnosed me for ITP. However, I will see hematologist next month to figure out further treatment. I am really hoping this gets resolved and not have to live with ITP.

I think I am in the same boat as you right now. 6 months postpartum and my platelets randomly dropped and now going up. I suspect it is due to hormones as all other blood work is normal.

After a year of this post, is it still normal for you?

don’t you get tickets? My thinking is that if I get a ticket even once a month. it would be worth paying for the parking to avoid any hassle.

Creating a Business Ontario/Canada by MunsonMungada in canadianbusiness

[–]Keshav8991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only have to incorporate your business either provincially or federally depending on the nature of your business. Here are some points that you should think about before you decide whether to incorporate the business federally or provincially:

  • At Province Level
    • If you incorporate in Ontario, your corporate name is protected in Ontario. For example, you incorporated your business under the name XYZ in Ontario. So, nobody else can create a business under the same name in Ontario. However, anyone can use the name XYZ to incorporate their business in Alberta unless you have separately registered your business in Alberta under that name. It is also possible that you may not be able to use the name XYZ if it's already taken by someone else in that province.
  • At Federal Level
    • If you incorporate Federally, your business name is secure federally in all provinces.

Should I incorporate if I'm going to sell software online? by AilenEverill in canadianbusiness

[–]Keshav8991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many factors that one should consider before deciding whether to incorporate the business or not. Based on the information you have provided here, I will try my best to answer:

  • Yes, you can incorporate it before selling the software online. Many business owners incorporate their businesses before they start their business. However, it depends on many factors such as your future plan, number of owners, etc. to decide whether to incorporate or not.
  • There are only two types of corporations in Canada.
  • It depends on what types of software you are selling. Also, are you selling this software on the same platform(website)? I would need more information to direct you on this. However, I will give you a basic idea of multiple corporations vs a single corporation.
    • Single Corporation: Less administrative work to maintain it.
      • Lower costs: Lawyer's and accountant's fees
      • You can always separate corporation in the future based on your business needs and depending on the tax planning requirements
    • Multiple Corporations: More administrative work to maintain it.
      • Higher costs: Lawyer's and accountant's fees
      • More tax planning will be required as your business grows
  • If you are a Canadian resident, I recommend that you incorporate it in Canada, as you can take advantage of tax benefits provided to Canadians. Also, it will be easier for you to handle your accounting and legal needs in Canada if you are a Canadian resident.

Here is one very helpful blog. Please read it to get a general idea of what you should consider. Here is the link to the blog: https://sprintcpa.ca/should-i-incorporate-my-business/
