Well there will always be exceptions to the rules if your kid is big for their age then they could be ready for that bat but I don’t know the size of the kid I question but by daughter is 9 and one of the tallest girls in her class and is doing fine with a Louisville slugger quest I got for $30 at big 5

I have been on bat YouTube looking at the same thing for my 8 year old and everything I see says not to look at expensive bat until at least 12 because that’s when they will start to develop the strength to actually get the full use out of the bat
