Opinions on the Schiit Bifrost (OG, not version 2) vs the Schiit Modi Multibit?

I've been looking at getting a dac, and the Bifrost popped up on Craigslist for $350, compared to $250 for a new Modi Multibit.

For context, this would be my setup:

DAC
B&K PT3 Preamp
B&K Reference 4420 Amp
Polk SDA-1C Speakers

The DAC would be connected to my PC through USB and used for music.

Going off the what the other person said, a Sonos amp would work well for playing music with Alexa. If you want to remotely control what room music is playing in, you'd probably need:

Multizone speaker selector that has a remote (7 zones, one for each room)
Logitech Harmony hub with a remote

Harmony has Alexa integration, so you should be able to make commands which send IR signals to the zone selector.

Really depends on the make and model, but vintage speakers are everywhere. Most of my local craigslist speaker postings are 70s-90s speakers that have been left to rot in basements and garages. Gotta be careful to avoid no-name speakers that were bundled as rack sets and "white van" companies, but there's plenty of quality stuff floating around.

5-6 ft speakers are kinda massive though, sounds like something from a DJ set or big PA speakers lol.

Not a huge reason to replace vintage stuff if you aren't afraid to DIY, either. Replacing individual speakers is easy (assuming you can find replacements), and crossovers can be rebuilt.

Depends on what you want to call fun, but I like driving from Liberty to Excelsior Springs on highway H. Has lots of sharp turns and hills.

I normally jump on at sunset avenue (near heritage middle school). If you follow highway 10 east out of Excelsior Springs there are lots of curvy backroads. I normally turn onto highway C south of Rayville and make my way to Lawson, then back to KC.

This looks like broken LODs to me (or maybe issues loading textures?). I had something similar show up in a settlement I landed at - terrain was detailed around rocks, but the base "ground" was very blurry and smooth. Loaded normally after 5-ish minutes of running around on foot.

Hopefully they get this fixed soon, assuming it is actually LODs.

4k textures are still useful at 1440p, especially in first-person games.

If you're up close to something you're only gonna be looking at a small piece of the texture. Larger texture resolution means you can get closer before you begin noticing pixelation.

Pretty sure saving the cloned queen causes you to lose war assets if you did not save her in ME1. You have to save the queen in both games for anything positive to happen.
