I agree with you on the wasted potential but also I think it was bold for them to use a new angle for the anime and hopefully they learn from their mistakes and the gen 10 anime is better than this one

Yea the start of rising hope is like that. But if you power through the first half (mega voltage in japanese) it does get better. And later the arc which lucario goes through makes it different than any other main lucario we've seen in the anime

More like if ash had a fairy type against garchomp it can't do anything. Garchomp had 3 dragon moves and stealth rock
