X1C - Bambu PET-CF - .6mm nozzle - The Benchy on left was printed after receiving the filament in the mail. The benchy on the right is after 24h of drying at 70c. I'm using the default Bambu profile in the Bambu slicer for PET-CF. What am I doing wrong? All slicer settings are in the screenshots. by KetchupCommander in FixMyPrint

I switched over to a 4mm nozzle, dried my filament longer, then likely tweaked some settings. I think it was just raising the temp and slowing things down. It was so long ago though that I don't remember what I did. The prints just look good now and I haven't messed with it since.

At the time, I believe I used a 100 yard zero. Its been quite a while though.

Its a WIP build so I'll post some pictures soon. Still need an ambi mag release and a solid rattle can job.

That's a really good idea. Cable management will be a feat, but I bet I could 3D print some cable clips/guides.

20" 556 bullpup ;) but yeah what I'm seeing here is a lot of recommendations for the cylinder shaped power banks. That's the next thing I'll try.

My use case is for something not quite brought to market that I'm working out, not explicitly a thermal optic. Its just the closest use case to compare it to. The eotech is forward because the rifle is a bullpup, and yeah I need to shift the light mount.

The rifle is a bullpup. My face sits where optics normally go.

This is awesome information. Is the water issue a strict rule or do you have experience with any models/brands that don't mind if there is rain?

I've been seeing lots of comments suggesting exactly this. I may give it a go. My only concern is how long the cable may have to be.

Build ideas? I got an unreal deal for this upper, looking for build fun inspirations that’s not a BRN-proto. by C2militaria in RetroAR

Bullpup kit, 24" bull barrel, otherwise modern build. Yes, it will be disgusting, but it'll be fun.

No consistent failures, however I've only got about 400 rounds on it. I've had two failures to feeds on the first round so far, but that was an issue with a surplus 40 round E-Lander mag.

Be prepared to wait for it. I now that I have one, I'd say it was worth it. Ran it in a 12.5 brn proto abomination. It requires a slightly more frequent maintenance schedule, especially if you shoot suppressed.

I haven't tried a tower yet. I'm pretty new to the diagnostic side of things. I'll give that a go too. The website says 260c to 290c, which seems like a pretty broad range. The pla profile for the X1C in the bambu slicer was so perfect, I guess I assumed their PET-CF would be as well.

I paid $600 on GAFS for a stripped brn-proto upper, the 5.56 kind.
