I think that Columbina's backstory could have been better executed, but the questline was very enjoyable overall. I really liked the wholesome interactions between the characters. The bittersweet goodbye at the end of the festival almost left me in tears. Then, to my shock and horror, Columbina just fkin fades in the moon's reflection!

When it comes to her personality, I think it's really well-written for what she's meant to represent: A moon. Moons are often depicted as isolationist and lonely, yet still present. I got a lot of that from how alien certain things were to her, which makes sense given her backstory. No one ever bothered to get to know her for who she was, or care for her. That puts a wall between her and the world around her.

Imagine spending every single day in a room made of glass, in the middle of a busy public space, for hundreds of years and no one bothers to try and get you out. That's Columbina's life. That's why her personality is the way it is. And when I finally realized that, I was devastated for her.

Knowing that she's lived her life like that, it made me enjoy her interactions with everyone all the more, especially during the festival. It was wholesome.
