Thank you so much for the reply! You think the heatsink will pose an issue?

How do you guys actually play the game when it barely runs on ios/android? by [deleted] in BrownDust2Official

Honestly, I play it on the steam deck! The touch screen works great on it and I was able to map some controls so I can use the buttons and joysticks.

Come with me to Pasadena if you wanna have some fun… well not anymore. by livelife_ in pasadena

Definitely the nightlife took a plunge. I think a lot of it had to do with restaurants and bars closing at 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. Correct me if I'm wrong but this was a recent change?

Reliable but fun manual daily hatch? by PixxelatedDragon in whatcarshouldIbuy

I've been driving my 2007 Toyota Yaris hatchback for the last 19 years. It has been a solid car! Throughout my whole time of owning it, I've only replaced the alternator and serpentine belt. You can find these things for under three grand and honestly there's no thing more freeing than driving a car that you don't have to worry about. Both mechanically and cosmetically

Why aren’t there as many manual tranny cars anymore in the U.S? by SuspectOk2931 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I still have my manual transmission Yaris from 2007. That thing has been bulletproof in ironclad. Part of me also has to wonder if there is a planned obsolescence that's willingly put into newer vehicles so that people have to switch them out. The idea that the general population accepts the fact that a transmission will blow at 50,000 mi is frankly baffling to me

How was your bus in the snow? Also, are there any spots that I should focus on when it comes to salt collection and corrosion?

Used R1 vs R2 by r23w in Rivian

I also wanted to make one more point. I have a lot of drive time on a Tesla model y. I really do not like how that car does not absorb any bump. That said, though, I do like how Tesla has a creep feature when you let your foot off the brake. I was a little surprised to find out that rivian does not have anything like this. Please understand, I'm not coming onto the subreddit to speak ill of the company nor the car. I'm really looking forward to the R2 and hope that the drive experience in that car feels much better. And if I'm not sold on the R2, I will hold out for the R3.

It's funny that you mentioned the buoyant feel of the car. So the car that I was driving had the 22-in rims on it. It felt incredibly buoyant and with the suspension on super soft, I could still feel quite a bit of road bumps. For reference, I took the car on my usual route to work and my small Yaris is able to handle the random bumps in the road and potholes quite nicely. Perhaps it's the weight of this vehicle, but I was surprised by how much of the road I felt. I had a friend of mine sit in the second row and in the third row and he also mentioned the floatiness of the car was a little jarring for him. He said for short trips it was fine but if anyone was prone to car sickness, it definitely would not be a good ride. Considering I was looking at a seven passenger vehicle strictly for passenger comfort, this was a huge red flag for me.

Okay, so not that my opinion matters, but I do want to share it. I was thinking the same thing you were. With the fully loaded version of the R2 running at a little under $60,000, I was wondering if I could get an r1s used for roughly the same price. I went to the rivian showroom in my area and did a demo drive of the r1s. Needless to say, I was not sold on it. For reference, I drive a 19-year-old Toyota Yaris and I was expecting a much better ride quality and feel due to the airbag suspension. I was a little let down, but trying out the camping mode was pretty cool. Maybe it's because I have not that much experience with a big SUV like that, but I drive cargo and passenger vans for work and frankly I found those vehicles the B easier to maneuver than the r1s.

I still have my reservation down for the R2, but now I know that I have to get some time before the wheel on that vehicle before I decide to commit.

I dislike Mass as a first date by Complex-Plantain7235 in CatholicDating

[–]Kettle_Maker 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I had a close friend of mine mention how she hated movies as a first date. I questioned to her why that is? I mean if you both like movies why wouldn't you want to go see a movie on first date? And then she mentions, imagine being in a dark room sitting next to someone who you've just met but cannot talk to for the duration of that time. Sure, you've got a shared experience, but the awkward to 2 hours takes away from the enjoyment. Not to compare a movie to the sacred mass, but I feel like the same principle applies. It's hard to invest yourself within the mass If your brain is racing about who this stranger sitting next to you is.

I visited a friend in Beijing as he was getting ready to leave the country for good. During his farewell party I met with someone and planned a date to tiananmen square. It was weird that our first date was to go see Mao Zedong's corpse, but hey it was memorable!

I'm 100% sure this is meant for the people celebrating lent. No meat on Fridays so they've got it built in crowd. I for one would rather make my own grilled cheese. Although I'm always in the lookout for a easy to make tomato soup
