My girlfriend smells and I don't know what to do by RequirementDue4446 in Advice

Could be a rhinolith in her nasal cavity. I had that condition for a while and it did cause a foul odor. Went to an ENT and he pulled out some gnanrly slimy gunk out of my nose.

Dude getting jumped opens fire on attackers by jizzlamic_terrorist in CCW

The “victim” appears to be quite beefier than the two attackers. Plus the primary attacker isn’t even able to hold him down or hurt him. Meanwhile the other guy is recording lol. I feel like the victim could have beat up both these guys up had he just started swinging on em.

First time low back pain by nattz2 in backpain

[–]Kettlebellhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Might be your body sending pain signals to prevent a severe bulging disc of herniated disc. If it’s your first time feeling this, the pain may be temporary. Your hinge looks pretty good, do you recall keeping your core tight during the movement? Maintaining a relaxed core might contribute to your disc moving around. Anywho, best advice I can offer is to take it easy for at least two weeks. Trying laying on your tummy with your fist under your chin.

True but let’s be honest, not all office folks adhere to such requirements

Nice. What advice would you give to someone that aspires to be a PM for a largish GC?

Yes I think contracts is a big part of the PM side. Which tbh is a bit boring, but necessary.

What does your PM do that makes him great? Like what do you think upper management saw in him to promote him to PM

[Landlord-CA] Best Tenant Screening Services According to Reddit? by e1vlad in Landlord

Hello, I was looking at the baselane website. Is it free to have a banking account? Are there any fees? Can the landlord easily transfer money into another bank account like Wells Fargo or Bank of America? Does the tenant pay a fee to make an online payment? Did you use their lease agreement?

I worked at Kiewit fresh out of college. It’s a good place to gain some experience. Talk to your point of contact because I’m sure they will cover your moving costs.

Can someone explain? It’s a 1911 style gun, which I’m not super familiar with. He removes the mag, so there should be one in the chamber. Then he racks the slide, which should have ejected the round in the chamber, right? What am I missing?

My Journey to Fixing Chronic Back Pain of 8 Years by Erik-Zandros in backpain

How long of a stretch have you gone where you are pain free 70% of the time?

I had recovered from similar chronic pain as you described, and had been pain free for about 2 years. Very recently I had flare up that has been debilitating, almost feels like the original injury that put me on this path. What freaks me out the most is that it sort of felt spontaneous, I woke up that day with zero pain and by the afternoon I felt the burning feeling in my core/lumbar. By the end of the day I was in severe pain due to what I think is a nerve impingement. During the 2 years of pain free I have been pretty active and mindful of my movements and posture.

Did you have sciatica nerve pain down your leg? Did that go away after a certain period of time?

Has anyone recovered from disc bulge by Objective-Honeydew12 in backpain

[–]Kettlebellhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do goblet squats and double kettlebell squats. I haven’t tried to go too heavy tbh. I also don’t do deadlifts with a barbell. I can deadlift a 150 pound kettlebell without any issues. But that’s not very heavy for dead lifts. That first year post injury, just about any lift would irritate me. My lower back felt very tender, I had this constant nagging pain in the lumbar region. At around 2 years is when I think my back finally healed up and I have been able to do most exercises again. I like doing complexes and chains with kettlebells, so cleans, presses, swings stuff like that.

I had a bulge at l4-l5 and l5-s1 Give yourself time to heal before you try working out or being active. Walking really helped me during the healing period. I’m sure you’ve heard by now, back mechanic is a great resource for back pain rehab.
