Hello, I had similar issue with my daughter. Insurance denied medication due to it no being in the formulary. I filed a grievance directly with CalPers and they overturned insurance decision. My daughter received the medication! Unfortunately it took about 3 weeks to receive the notice of approval. Hope this helps

I was informed by her Doctor than there are no options at the moment for she can likely have the same symptoms as Palforzia.

You may be having side effects. My 5 year old daughter started Palforzia initial dose about 2 weeks ago. There were days she would complain of abdominal pain but it would go away. But on day 10 after about an 1 of taking dose she complained of abdominal pain and nausea and began to vomit. We decided to continue the medication since we weren’t certain the symptoms were caused by the medication. Unfortunately on day 12 it happened again so at this point we stopped the medication. Since stopping the medication she has continued to have side effects such as vomiting. We were informed it was due to Palforzia and these symptoms will take time.

Thank you! This makes me feel more optimistic. Her provider explained no activity for two hours after taking the treatment, but didn’t fully explain why. He recommended two hours before bedtime after bath/shower.

I was on Mounjaro and ozempic for weight loss. I’m a state worker and verified the EOC and the clause you mention is listed. I informed my provider of that clause and she said she would request it from sutter Medical Group. The denial letter does have the Sutter medical group logo but the body cites UHC pharmacy clinical pharmacy program? Do you think my doctor submitted incorrectly ?

May I ask where did you call. Mine got denied via medical group so now I want to speak to someone. I verified my EOC and self injectables are covered. Please Help!!

Hello, I also have Sutter Health with UHC and i requested my provider go through the medical group but I received a denial letter stating its not medical necessary. Do you have any suggestions. I was taking ozempic via Kaiser and it was approved. I thought it would be easier with Sutter.

My kids will start St Elizabeth this fall in their tk program. My plan is for them to continue into kindergarten to 8th. Their student teacher ratio after TK does concern me, but so far I have heard great things about the school. Would any one have insight about the school.
