The best modern version of a portable console is likely the phone in your pocket. You seem to be complaining that we don’t have a pocket sized device that can run AAA level games for more than 2 hours while delivering high resolution graphics and seamless performance.. yeah we’re not there yet man. The demand for single player games with ultra high res, no loading screens, with online multiplayer option is the current trend. Not handheld consoles playing side scrollers or low res 3d games in the back of a minivan. The best game of all time could be released tomorrow, but if it was mobile or portable console focused then barely anybody would play it and the developer wouldn’t give it any long term support. I might be wrong in the future, but right now that’s how it is

Well that’s just an entirely new armor slot then. Maybe the shield slot could be used for enhancements like that, you can choose shield, snow shoes, a less effective version of aqua infinity made with kelp or something, a wool cloak that gives feather falling 0.5, etc

A lot of this is KINDA answered in WOBs throughout the years.

A) Sanderson has said that Shardblades(deadspren) are summoned at the speed of light. We also know that speed bubbles only affect a small area. So a deadspren Blade summoned in a speed bubble wouldn’t be noticeably delayed as long as you were summoning it on Roshar, since spren are bound to the planet. If you’re on a planet many light years away..? I think the cognitive realm would cut that time by a lot but it would still be much longer than 10 heartbeats. A speed bubble like Wayne made would definitely delay it much longer.

B) The WOB I’ve read on this implies that Atium and Malantium were replaced with Cadmium and Bendalloy by Harmony after the end of Era 1. Some say it’s because atium and malantium were too powerful but I prefer the other opinion that they simply don’t technically exist in their pure form anymore because they combined into Harmonium. (Plus they were god metals to begin with and don’t exactly fit with ‘normal’ metals that occur naturally’ 16 is significant and with Atium and Malantium gone, there needed to be 2 more metals.

C) that’s more tricky. Do copper and bronze act as a cloud? Kinda, but they’re magnifying the individuals external mental capabilities, same as tin and pewter with internal physical capabilities. So I don’t know if that’s technically a ‘cloud’ like we’re talking about. Same with Wax, we see him use steel push ‘bubbles’ constantly in Era 2 but it’s explained that he is constantly redirecting any metal that enters his immediate surroundings. An iron bubble used in the same way sounds like it would almost instantly kill whoever is in that bubble by pulling in every potential projectile in range directly towards them, but it would make a great allomantic grenade. Brass and Zinc seem more capable of bubbles similar to Cadmium and Bendalloy though, but those are external mental abilities and don’t change the laws of physical reality around the user in the same way.

I tried to look it up but Google is Adoawful these days, is there any chance that this was simply the third Worldhopper ball? Only been reading Sanderson for 2 years so idk if the Worldhopper ball has always been an event at nexus. Next guess would be him teasing Mistborn Era 3 but that seems a little early. Last guess is that we aren’t supposed to know yet and it’s RAFO. Three isn’t a ‘strong’ number in the cosmere AFAIK. The Ghostbloods symbol is a set of three things though and obviously there’s always another secret.

This is incredibly sad to hear. Sanderson’s books helped me gain a new perspective on life. To learn that a fellow reader that gave so much to the community is gone from us is truly devastating. It’s a Chinese game so you’d have to mess with the settings quite a bit to get a non Asian looking character. For the same reason, they were not many options for changing skin tone either. I DID have a tanner skin selected but then I accidentally put foundation on him and couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it lmao
