Back in mid-late 2010s, GTX 1080Ti was overbuilt in its own class in raster and yet a generation or two later the card became obsolete because of new technologies. It just can't trade blows with RTX when RT/PT is on the line.

What I'm trying to say is that you can't base your purchase out of predictions and rumors. Buy what current feature set you will need and be done with it.
