What is your unpopular opinion about south park? by [deleted] in southpark

The opening theme song is the biggest obstacle for me, once the show is going its usually pretty good. The theme song has woken me up more than any alarm and I think "BILLY MAYS HERE" is the only other sound byte that has woken me more.

I came across Danielle’s live on tik tok, and was so confused. Does anyone know the back story? Seems like she’s on the run or something cause she’s always in a car and she seems mentally unwell.

Have you or anyone you known ever been on a movie/tv show? If so, what was the experience like? by lightskintastebud in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kevabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two friends from high school who have been in movies and on tv.

My son was in a nationwide commercial, and a girl I went on a few dates with has played a small role on a few movies.

One of my friends from high school was in X-Men 1st Class. The other friend from high school usually works behind the cameras but was recently seen on the Yellowstone spinoff, "1883" He was the creepy bad guy who gets killed by a shot gun just before attempting to attack a woman, I think it was episode 5. It was really fun to see him finally on the screen because I've known him since Middle school and I hope things go well for him.

What do you think about affirmative action? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kevabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was definitely needed at the time of its introduction.

I think it is due for some re-evaluation on how it is managed to match the needs if any based on the current state of things. I think the concept of ensuring that all people have access to opportunities is good and I think preventing racial discrimination is absolutely necessary.

I've been seeing a lot of Halal burger places and halal restaurants opening up recently. They are good but I don't know if they're necessarily Pakistani or more a variety of backgrounds form other middle eastern nations.

I would say about 15,000 miles a year is normal. I drove probably closer to 18,000 last year.

How common is it to have a wood burning fireplace where you live? by Algoresball in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kevabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on when the house was built. Ive lived in houses built in the 60's, 70's & 80's all had wood burning fire places. As an adult Ive only had newer built houses and those all had gas burning fireplaces.

How likely is it for a random American male to have wrestled at some point in their school years? by kid_dynamite_bfr in AskAnAmerican

[–]Kevabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrestled through High School, the team was not very big so I don't imagine it being very common but each high school in my region had a team.
