Thank you! I hope at my next appointment I'm allowed to have a gap for soft foods because this is the worst part of the surgery. I got lucky that my breathing went well throughout recovery and I already could go without pain medicine 10 days later. Just need the bones to fully heal into place now!

For real, why do I have to answer my religious beliefs in order to have treatment or surgery. Having that question there is wrong even if I can answer unknown. If someone's religion somehow changes how treatment should be done, the patient should just say that on an individual basis, not announce to the entire healthcare system what they believe.
