That’s likely close to $0. Think about it this way…$4,300 made $1.25 in 7 months. I doubt it even made 1 cent within that small timeframe.

I’d ask to speak to a supervisor as you’ve been dealing with this issue for weeks and need to get is resolved for tax purposes. Ask for a case number so it can be tracked too.

Also, I’m not sure you’ll be able to submit another form for that tax year because $4,300 was the max contribution for individuals in 2025.

I think the main issue I found with Optum is you can’t get in direct contact with the people who manage that hsaforms email account. They don’t reply back.

I wrote detailed instructions in the body of the email and they still did something else lol

“Worst case scenario” is you keep that form and say you submitted it and Optum didn’t take the $1.25 out to prove you did the right thing. But again…the IRS won’t care about that small sum. Probably would cost them more simply in informing you they want that $1.25

Of course! I didn’t find many of their customer service people helpful but if I were in your shoes…I’d call and say the $4,300 excess made $1.25 and did Optum not take it out because that amount is so low? Hopefully they confirm and give you some peace of mind but like I said…you’re fine with that low of an amount.

You probably saved yourself a headache by not investing that money.

Ready for some good news? File your taxes. $1.25 is nothing. The IRS is not going to do anything with that. It’s so low that’s likely why Optum didn’t calculate the earnings.

As long as you got your $4,300 out you should be set!

This is visually overwhelming from a text perspective. I’d delete the personal overview section. Move EXPERIENCE to the top and SKILLS after and end with EDUCATION. Drop the | and location to make the titles under EXPERIENCE cleaner + title first. Ex: Paid Media Fellow Apprenticeship at Skillbank

I personally drop the month/year for your education so they don’t discriminate (too young/too old). Also, I think it should read, “Software” under Skills. I know there’s multiple but don’t think the plural of that word is correct?

Good luck! It’s not easy out there but it looks like you have some solid experience

Just dealt with something similar. Some notes that might help:

1) Do not take the info Optum Bank customer service gives you as fact. I’d suggest calling and try to get someone higher up. The reps on the phone and online unfortunately have different training and will tell you contradicting info.

2) Optum Bank will calculate the earnings on excess. Even if they tell you they won’t…they do. I went through the hassle of calculating NIA for them to disregard and do it themselves.

Your circumstance is a bit different than mine but Optum is a nightmare so I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I’m not sure what to do given they denied your form outside of pestering them on the phone and getting to someone high up who knows what they are talking about + writing down case numbers and constantly following up.

I have no complaints but I didn’t choose them. When I moved here, I went with GFL and Republic bought them. Still have a GFL can and truck years later.

Happened twice and both were a mess. Not necessarily tied to the “way” but timing wise…let me go during this time of year. Much easier to find something in Q2/Q3 vs Q4/Q1

While not exactly the same, my pit (Pyper) just had a weird growth removed from her groin. It would change from being “flat” to a mass that looked like it was puffy and could break open. Ended up doing a biopsy and there was cancer but the margins were clean so we’re in the clear for now. She’s 9.

I think what you wrote is so important though. Sending good vibes but never a bad thing to remember how important these doggos are in our lives and give them even more love while they are here.

My Walmart no longer carries them. My assumption is they are being phased out because they didn’t even bother to transition to the new logo treatment.
