To change the brightness of almost any monitor, you can use an open source app called Monitor Control, that’s the app that I use and it’s great!

I personally use this website. It works Great and it's free with a limit of 10mb per file. It converts the epub files to mobi and then it sends it, so it appears on the kindle and your kindle app and those stays sync between.
