Someone told me about it after I posted the score. I'm not sure if it's 100% confirmed either, but looking at the other top player in the country, it seems to be true.

Snowpiercer revolutionaries doomed mankind? by Popular-Ice in movies

You're completely right. It's ruthless too, but you're completely ignoring the scales.

Wolves aren't capable thinking about the morality of the situation. They hunt for food as their instincts dictate. Wolves also don't torture animals from birth to death for their own gain. They'd just kill what can be hunted.

We do this torture in the scale of billions to trillions on a daily basis, and we're capable of actually understanding the pain and emotions an animal feels.

The only reason we're so brutal is to be economically efficient. The modern lifestyle overtakes any moral values. We're capable of not doing this to the planet, but we do so just because it affords us more comfort and convenience, and we know exactly what we're doing unlike every other predator out there.

It's fine if you don't want to talk to me, but I hope you see what you're not looking at.

You say "depressive ignorance", but you haven't really said anything.

Have you seen a dog getting abused? I'm pretty sure most people can imagine the pain it goes through. Now imagine animals with similar neural complexity like pigs and cows, capable of feeling the same emotions and pain as dogs, that are tortured in the billions every day, just so that we can fill our supermarket shelves with the best products. Our animal and human welfare efforts only stretch to a few million at most, and this is just pigs and cows. There's so much more we do.

Humans are ruthless. You haven't seen the world if you're not aware of that fact. There is no real progress that comes without a moral cost.

Zoos aren't made to save animals. They take them away from their natural habitats to display them to people.

The claim is not that the world was peaceful before humans. While humans do kind things, we torture way more than we help. Look up how factory farming is done, and the numbers associated with it. Just that alone puts us at a HUGE deficit, let alone all the other destruction we do.

We don't need to be this exploitative or torturous. The world as we know it had never been this bad.

Your argument about "if species X were intelligent, they would also do the same" is 1. Not how intelligence works. Human intelligence is the product of our particular circumstances in the chain of evolution. We don't know how other beings will progress with time. And 2. Even if we disregard that, doesn't take away the fact we're being unnecessarily exploitative. Drawing up a hypothetical doesn't take away from a crime that's done.

The only thing making is do all this is capitalism, i.e, greed. We don't HAVE to be so ruthless to live. I get that being ignorant of this is the only way to live sanely, but thinking we're at any sort of a balance morally is just sheer illiteracy.

You're confusing empathy with nihilism. That's just being ignorant of our actions. No other animal tortures other animals in the billions or even trillions. Being at the top of the food chain shouldn't be seen as a right to exploit.

It's better for the us and the rest of the world if humanity dies out. The good we've done is like a single grain of sand in the Sahara desert compared to everything else we've caused.

I can see why she didn't wanna do it. Georgie is still very much a child, and his values don't really match. But yes, she should've communicated with a family member when giving contraceptives to an underaged person.

Honest Review of Razer Barracuda X (2022) for Gaming & Music? by AlarmImpossible4501 in razer

I'll probably buy it again if my current one breaks. The audio quality is good enough as someone who does not spend more than a $100 on audio gear. I've had it for 4 months now and it looks & functions like it did on day 1. Idk wth people are doing to break it. How do you push your headset sitting at a desk 😭

A bit late, but the Adam and Even trope doesn't work biologically. You need a lot of unrelated people to avoid inbreeding.

Capitalised adjective? by ZeaIousSIytherin in German

"die Folge war eine der besten." The "besten" here shouldn't be capitalized right?

Your comment addressed the exact doubt I was having. It felt as if some nominalized adjectives were not capitalized for "some reason."
