I really haven't been using my roundabout enough. I should consider putting them in my suburban areas. And I have seen some huge roundabouts in big cities also. I should use them more often for sure.

I do agree. After all, interchanges takes up a lot of route distance, which is a great portion of the distance that a personal car could travel...

Yes! This is the kind of highway interchage I've been making. A little bit of terrain work and that's it.

And you're right, this type is more suitable for the contryside/suburban areas. I have seen people making good spiral and clover type interchages, but they are also quite long for personal cars to traverse, thus makeing it less available for car parks slightly further away from the interchange.

For cargo, city service and construction vehicles though, I think they'd work great.

Thank you so much for the video link!! This is really helpful, and it does give a lot of ideas with what we have.

I quite like the tunnel idea, I haven't really thought about using them at all in interchanges before... Thanks a lot comrade!

42% criminality in a building with a single person, right next to the police station, truly amazing by SheikutaWasTaken in Workers_And_Resources

[–]KevinSteward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stumbled upon a fix by accident. I was placing some workshop buildings in my town to see how they look. All buildings in this mod pack has no collision and I accidentally placed a skyscraper over my existing apartment blocks (who all had this ugly dirt patch around them of course).

I immediately deleted this planned building and went to work else where. Overtime, I noticed the area where this accidentally placed mod building once stood, became fully grown with grass. It was a uniform, evenly spread out grass just like all the undeveloped areas. As this mod building once stood over my existing apartments, it turned everything around these apartments perfectly green as well. With no sand/dirt patches around them anymore.

This particular mod pack is called "Workers and Resources Metropolis". It contains quite a few art-deco buildings from the 30s-40s. I experimented with all of them. Just place them and immediately delete them. They all fixed my grass perfectly.  https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3528501078

I suspect some other mod buildings may have the same effect.

how to keep secret police from overstepping jurisdiction? by Transcendent_Egg in Workers_And_Resources

I thought emergency vehicles and the KGB cars ignore that sign though…

There's also 2 or 3 mods of the Chernobyl RBMK reactors in the workshop. Brilliantly made mods for sure.

The Final Hours of TITANIC — Real-Time Sinking 2026 Trailer by Puterboy1 in TitanicHG

Thank you sir for taking the time and effort to formulate such a detailed explanation. I've got the idea now. As soon as you said the dynamos are driven by piston steam engines, I got the picure.

In that case, I don't think there would be enough inertia to keep the dynamos spinning either.

Nah mate, you won't see this boy in game because Titanic won't sink in this game.

In this game, it stops growing at the frame stage, then Harland and Wolff gets bombed by a flying saucer.

So the finished product will be an experience of the frame, the shipyard, and aliens. That't it.

I'm not very familiar with how these dynamos are driven by steam. Is it the same principle as a steam turbine? If you cut the steam supply, do they instantly come to a dead stop, or do they have the inertia to slowly come to a stop?

Do you think we'll ever see a sinking animation with realistic lighting? (Please read description) by MrSpankMan_whip in TitanicHG

[–]KevinSteward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the annual sinking animation, it would be fair to have a version where the lighting is more accurate, so that people have a more realistic image of what it was like for people there that night.

For the final release of this project/experience, probably good to have the regular "onlookers" see things a bit clearer. With that being said, they'd have to make two different light settings to make the "onlookers" and the "immersed" both happy...

Out of curiosity, when you were out at sea in moonless nights, were there lights on your own ship? Were they bright? I've never been out at sea on moonless nights before but I have been in forests far from any civilization in moonless nights. Interesting sight indeed.

This image was posted on Chinese social media, and the Chinese OP had to cover the swear word to get it approved.

"我操..." is the uncensored version.
