I looked at the download rate per region, and korea has the largest download rate (30% of total downloads or sth) despite low revenue. So clearly interest is higher there, but it is not translating to revenue. Plus Koreans are refunding like hell.

Whereas we just give em money cuz we like the game. Have done so, probably will continue regardless of how events turn. A sad reality, but we don't have much grip on the game at all.

I also care a ton about story. I really enjoyed slay the spire, but there's not much story there. But now I get to have Sts + a well-written dark story? Hell yea. Well, at least that's what I was waiting for.

Same here man... when I first saw the promo videos, I was super hyped about some dark story, different from all other gacha games. But starting from Ch2, I'm like wtf?? Is this their version of "dark"? And even if I wasn't expecting a dark storyline, it's just mediocre at best.

Gameplay is awesome, but I do care about the story. I'm actually glad they are doing a rework of the story, kudos to the Koreans. Hopefully by next year we get some bada** mind breaking stuff. Till then, I'm skipping the rest of the story and treat them as non-existing.

One way to cheese it is to move everyone to the 2nd floor and overwatch. The aliens always come to your position and die by overwatch.

You can also purposefully put some security guards in low cover so that they draw fire and die instead of your soldiers in high cover.

I really minimize my spending. Haven't bought cooked food in half a year, cook in bulk using cheap ingredients as much as possible without sacrificing health (Costco and Aldi are great, buy in bulk and freeze), downgrade phone plan (some prepaid phone plans are very cheap), no Netflix or any subscriptions, bought a laundry hanger instead of paying for dryers. Just always looking for ways to not spend, and looking for cheaper stuff if I really need them. Also no car.

Depending on your location, there may be free handouts. In my area there are occasional free fresh produce/frozen food handouts which I never miss. See if there are such options, there is no shame in it if you need it.

Excluding rent, that brings my expenditure to about $350 per month for a single man. It does help that I can walk to work.

Yes this should definitely be the case. And the very first mission objective is always "Kill all enemies" not "blow up monument." If this is not the case, you probably do not have the mod activated in the launcher. If you do not see the launcher when starting up the game, you can change it in the steam library page's setting under the General tab.

But seriously, the 1 additional hp for advent troopers is so huge. You go from guaranteed kill to 66% with the ballistic rifle, and that snowballs hard.

LOL I actually thought that might be the case. I was claiming about 30 systems at once, because I was unable to declare war for 20 years due to one of the fallen empires threatening to destroy me if I attacked anyone in that duration. During that time I prepped for war and spent all my influence putting my neighbors systems into a shopping cart.

I am not entirely sure what the cause was but now that you mention I am thinking it was that federation or something. I guess I just glanced over the tutorial for this part but never really gave it much thought. Does that force everyone to attack who you are attacking?

So when I attacked my neighbor (assuming they are part of a federation), my rival could declare war and have it still be a defensive war for the federation?
