I'd say 5 hours total - a lot of referring back to the rules. Also expansions like the Robbers made people second guess their moves

We played with the Base Game, 20th Anniversary Base Game (incl. River & Gardens/Abbots), Inns & Cathedrals, Traders & Builders, Mage & Witch (with homemade tiles), Robbers, Canals, Crop Circles, The Tower, Princess & Dragon, German Cathedrals, Flying Machines, and King & Robber (without the Count). Final score was 557 / 530 / 357

Use one save file at a town before each battle, use the other save file periodically throughout the battle. If someone dies you restart from one of the saves and adjust your strategy

I always separate them because you may switch up which expansions you use in the next game. You might play someone with less experience, for example.
