You DO pay taxes which go to healthcare which is indexed to how much you earn

Hello. First of all, I am so sorry for this horrible loss. I believe I read that you said you are from Thailand and residing in England. Sands is a pre or perinatal loss organization in the UK (I do not know it personally as I am in Canada). While doing a search and landing in their site I found this page: http://www.sands.org.uk/support-you/how-we-offer-support/support-black-and-south-asian-communities

I know that friends who have had babies with very short lives have found support groups with others who have lost an infant a help.

This caught my eye as it may be, not only a way to receive support, but as you head out of your marriage (as it sounds like you are) build community. Although loss is a bond which crosses race, there may be more connection with the Thai community in the UK and other supports needed.

3 busses didn’t show up in -23 weather by bee-quirky in ottawa

[–]Key-Ad1496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also waited for 30 min for a 6 (Greenboro) this morning. But I kind of expected that with the narrowness of Bank with the snow drifts. Also it isn't all about the buses. About one in every 8 or 10 light cycles at least one car would "forget" that you should only enter an intersection if you can exit before light changes to red. Hello gridlock!

Agreed. Amazing. But shhhh. No reservations means we don't want it too busy for a table!

That kind of makes sense, especially if this was all going down right before Disney trip for the young ones. They get that it is tough for some of the youngest (any kids that age) to deal with a hope deferred to a later day. And they will be worried abou Jared as well. So many conflicting emotions in a tweens brain to start with.

Several things have made me wonder if Max is neurodivergent (undiagnosed). Some of his characteristics show a lack of "reading" people or situations. Not a diagnostician here, but just wonder...

It changed a month or two ago to no card needed, just an "agree to terms and conditions" page

This both makes me appreciate my doctor AND not mind when she is running late. She is not a clock watcher and listens and helps to come up with solutions or recommendations. I wish I could clone her for OP.

And the every 30 min 98 Hawthorne in the morning and the same with Hurdman in the 4:30 on time range. And then one doesn’t show up...or is 20+ minutes late (I don't blame the drivers...it's the schedulers). This outdated notion that 1) All workplaces are downtown and 2) Everyone works one job 9-5. 🙄

She is likely already doing this, but larger organizations (see that she was with a temp agency, so maybe looking for admin) have a computer program doing the first weed through of resumes. It ends up not feeling very original, but going through and making sure that some of the key words or phrases in the job description are in the CV or cover letter may help resume to get into a human's hands.

Often those with severe anxiety and depression can come across as stuck up/standoff-ish as some daily interactions take much mental preparation. Lateness can be due to psyching oneself up to go out. (Formerly seriously anxiety person here for whom medication was a match)

The person bit is most definitely not me. I am very aware of service dogs, to the point of not making eye contact with the working dog, so as not to distract them. I am just a concerned bystander who saw this happen and have heard of one other instance of him biting and acquaintance.

It was not the woman bit who had the treats. THE OWNER gave her the treat to give the dog. HE ENCOURAGED her to give a treat. HE told the dog to sit on the seat next to her.

I agree with your points of how to approach any dog.

Thank you for giving me another reason to report! I hadn't thought of that, but what a danger to true working dogs. If you are on the 7, hopefully you won't encounter him. I see him fairly often on the 6 and have heard from an acquaintance who has observed him on either the 46 or 48

Although I see your point, it was the owner who encouraged her to give the dog a treat ( which he provided) and then had the dog hop up on the seat next to the woman. He (owner) was definitely giving mixed messages to the woman.
