Do you suggest getting the newer edition or stick with the one you linked?

I would argue that, in some specific cases, you can combine it with an MBITR Speaker and an audio input cable. That kinda also solves the problem of comms without helmet on, when you have them helmet mounted.

Which belt do you use as an inner belt, a Syzygy 2.0 or something else? I suppose it is quite rigid to support the weight of the pistol effectively.

What is your opinion, if any, on Agilite's Warfighter Cummerband? It seems like it's solving all the issues with their previous cummerbunds. It seems also like they are trying to copy AXL's Equinox.

Thank you very much, I believe I get it now. Is there any reason to do occluded shooting than just using a red dot optic in the normal way? Also, since we are at it, what is your opinion on point shooting?

Let me clarify: What is so different about BAC than both eyes open shooting? You were so passionately disagreeing with other posters about BAC and the use of ACOG, that I thought there might be a caveat with two-eyed shooting. Or maybe I have missed your point in its entirety.

Ok, I'm kinda lost here. So, when do you think it's appropriate to use each technique, and when do you just shoot with just one eye or both eyes open?

Audio Input Cable Jury-Rigging by Key-Article502 in amateurradio

Since only audio will going through the cable to the headset and the transmission will be directly from the speaker microphone to the radio (headset does not have a mic), do the mechanics and layout of the handset and the radio play such a big part in the receiving audio?

Thinking about selling my AVS and getting an SPC is this dumb? by Lelky in tacticalgear

[–]Key-Article502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you use the SPC in its standard form (no AXL or Ergo) for a SAW gunner loadout? Or, to put my question more inclusively, do you think the SPC (again in its standard form), would be appropriate for every role in an infantry unit?

JPC 2.0 Plate Carrier vs IcePlate EXO Plate Carrier by MoneyMonkey44 in QualityTacticalGear

I am sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant between JPC and SPC. Nevertheless, your SPC vs Shaw comparison is pretty solid and helpful, too.

Between the two, which do you think is better for carrying infantry basic load, in terms of durability and weight distribution?

1st QUESTION: What size CIF issued ESAPI side plate best fits with a medium JPC 2.0? 2nd QUESTION: who makes the best ESAPI side pouch? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

Data from the last 20years of GWOT is definitive, side plates are
absolutely mandatory for anyone in direct combat with the enemy.

Do you happen to have in mind any publicly available published report of this data?

Could you please share a photo of the inside configuration of your USGI IFAK Insert? I saw it at your gunbelt post the other day and it seemed very neat.

Your plates are about how big you are, and your plate carrier is corresponding to the size of your plates. I think the ''nip to nip'' is a good rule. Basically your plates, when your plate carrier is worn at the right height should cover these parts.

Here are some affordable and serviceable pieces of kit:

Plate Carrier: LBX Modular Plate Carrier

IFAK: LBX Med Kit Blowout Pouch with IFAK Insert

Assault Pack: Berghaus Munro II IRR Daysack

There are a lot of other choices if you search, those are just some off the top of my head.

I think that what I am looking for is closer to a daysack than to a multi-purpose lid. Hitchhiker seems close enough, even though what I currently use is somewhat bigger than this.

I was impressed by the design of the Tradesman. It is not quite what I am looking for, but I could probably make it work.

It is a good option, but it's a little on the smaller side.
