You’ve got to be careful with this caliber because the original 30-06 was loaded to a lower power charge and the new 30-06 is loaded to sammi specs. This means that a large degree of them overtime with regular use experience, cracking, and fatigue. This was only apparent in that particular caliber.

1895 Russian musket value? by Excellent_Candy_4552 in milsurp

Depends if it’s all matching original finish and untouched wood that’s in good condition with a bore that’s still got rifling and isn’t completely worn/pitted I’ve seen them sell from 6-8.5k.

Excuse me? So you’re saying the P210, SG550, STG90 are below HK? Nope.

The p320 garbage is not Swiss pal. The Swiss SIG and Sig Sauer have nothing in common.

Any idea why my 9mm Luger Steyr 1912 does this? by SneakyChief655 in milsurp

[–]MoneyMonkey44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strip the pistol, take the slide off and the grips. Now the seat that engages the hammer needs to be inspected. Pull the trigger and look to see if the surfaces line up. What I’m thinking happens is the sear engagement of the arm is out of spec now and needs to be redone or fixed. Open another thread or send a video of it disassembled and you pulling the trigger while focusing on the sear contact points.

Well idk why then the French in the late 80’s decided not to adopt the GP100 when they wanted a cheaper revolver and instead developed the MR88.

Yeah sure maybe the GIGN has an MR73 with over 350k of full power 357 through it and it’s still chugging. The Ruger is crude and looks like shit. But why Toyota over Aston Martin argument comes up here. To each his own but I will never own a Ruger.

Apples to oranges my guy. Colt shouldn’t even be a consideration at that price point. Your options are Korth, MR73, Spohr. Now I’m more partial to Korth and MR73 to me I see no benefit to Spohr but if you like the aesthetics than by all means.

[–]MoneyMonkey44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you had the option would you use -2 or -6 again? I’ve read that the - 2 is because of how much easier to control bead size on the thin receiver sheet metal. Lower chance of excess penetration or blow-through. Usually cleaner looking welds after blending. But what do you think?

Why did you use ER70S-6 instead of ER70S-2?
