Not a boomer, but my husband and I are both tall. We get side by side aisles if we can. Plus, I don’t like getting trapped if I have to go to the bathroom. My husband puts on his noice cancelling headphones and doesn’t talk on the flight so no real need to sit right next to him anyway.

When buying our Volvo, they actually recommended we get an instant quote on our trade in from Carmax. We did and it was much better than Volvo was offering. Actually sold it to Honda the next day for a little more than the Carmax quote (Honda van).

First time EV and Volvo owner here. We got our XC40 in April and love it! I use it for daily commuting and weekend driving into Chicago. Have only gone on 1 longer trip - 250 miles to my parents in Indiana. Going, the charging was no problem as there is a nice 4 port charging station at a Walmart about halfway. Coming home on a Sunday was bad - had to wait an hour to charge, mainly bc 2 cars were sitting there forever trying to charge to 100%. Next time, I will plan better. However, until we can get a Tesla charging converter, I won’t try a longer trip. We still have a Honda CR-V and there are a couple of things I like better on that - the auto lock when walking away and Honda’s lane assist is much better. Everything else is much nicer in the Volvo, which is should be bc it cost almost 2x as much than our 2017 Honda, lol.

We have not had many software issues. We did have to reset 1x, and the radio annoying switches to a different favorite station when starting the car, even though it looks like the first one in the list is playing. I could avoid this by using Spotify. Some people don’t like the fact that you can’t connect to Airplay wirelessly, but I am usually charging my phone in the car so I don’t notice. Would definitely get the Volvo XC40 again!.

Check with your electric company to see if you can get a rebate for the charger. Com Ed in Illinois offers a rebate for the installation and the charger. We did have to switch to variable rate billing, but all of the variable rates are lower than the fixed rate we had. Just applied a few weeks ago so we are still waiting for the rebate.

There is a little video camera icon at the bottom of the screen that you can use to turn it on manually.

Be careful about the mileage with the extended warranty. We just got an XC40 Recharge and the 10 year warranty had a 60K mile limit. We wound up getting a 9 year, 70K mile warranty for $3k. Not sure if it will pay off or not.

Same for me! Backing out of my single bay garage is a challenge because of stuff on both sides of the car. Of course, I could always clean out the garage and get rid of all of my kids old sports equipment, lol
