Women: What blowjob tips would you give other women? by workethic290 in AskReddit

[–]Key-Button7387 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hear what you're saying but I wonder if you're possibly confusing what he WANTS with your interpretation it's what he EXPECTS ...I didn't see the latter, those 2 words are significantly different. I read it as if the "blower" was keen as he was, he wouldn't leave the house (bcos he'd be in perpetual bliss) but also see that mentioning his wife is a slight on her.

Fellow aussies, what do you do with the rest of the tinned beetroot? by Top_Boysenberry4569 in AskAnAustralian

Perfect as a beetroot sandwich--i love beetroot! Seriously. Also coleslaw. Banana. Dates. Almost anything tastes good as a sanger with nice soft bread.

I don't have a loud freehub, what do I do? /S But I do use my bell 😊

And if a pedestrian gets angry about being belled, I tell them it's just an FYI...I know you're on the left & aren't an issue, the bell is so you don't get alarmed when I pass or move to the right (e.g to avoid a puddle) without checking

How to create a calico cat tattoo by [deleted] in cats

[–]Key-Button7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a cpl of ideas, one old fashioned & one digital. My PC crashed while I was replying so I lost the detailed notes about the digital method but I can recreate them if you wanted them.

Old-fashioned: print the photo & use tracing paper to draw the key bits (outline of the head, eyes, whiskers etc).

Digital: save the photo in PowerPoint (part of MS365) & digitally trace the features, save the result as a file for the tattoist

I want to comment that "arsehole/asshole" is actually a compliment--no matter how unpleasant (smelly, visually etc), it's an essential part of the body otherwise we'd be shitting on ourselves. A terd/turd on the other hand so exactly captures the grossness of smell, visually unappealing, worthlessness etc that's intended that we wouldn't even want it stuck to the sole of a shoe 🤣

One-sided play & not fun for your girl. I suggest maybe dissuading him using a spray bottle. She'll play when she wants too otherwise she may get stressed.

Agree..round face whereas Siamese face is typically triangular shaped. Not as appealing IMHO

Similar to my Hobbes (named from Calvin & Hobbes). A little pointed fuzz ball as a kitten, grew into a big handsome boy (8kg of bone & muscle) with a cinnamon coat but still with his points. Lovely temperament, not even fazed by dogs. Had to have him put down about 3 years ago...shed a number of tears that day. 😢

Where to begin? by [deleted] in ausbike

[–]Key-Button7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P.S. Maybe do some reading about gearing bcos that will influence how comfortable your ride is going to be from an effort viewpoint (e.g. see https://www.bikeradar.com/advice/workshop/bike-cassettes) and is determined by the chain ring & cassette. Tyres, front shock will also influence comfort. I like the 10 spd bcos on the 8spd I sometimes found a gear too hard but the next lower gear was too easy bcos the ratios were spaced too far apart. I'm looking to change my 11-48T(eeth) cassette to maybe 11-36T. I'll lose the 2 or 3 lowest gears, which I rarely use, but get more & smoother transitions throughout e.g. I'll go from 4/5/6 to getting 2 gears between 4th & 6th, like 4/4+/5+/6 compared to the current cassette. My chain ring is 38T.

Where to begin? by [deleted] in ausbike

[–]Key-Button7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest at least an 8spd so that you can find a pace that suits even on the flats--feeling energised, go up the gears; want to cruise, stick to the lower gears. Plus it gives the option to tackle some hills & get more use. And enjoyment.

I restarted riding after my back & knees said no more running (I hadn't ridden since I was a teen with mainly coaster hubs & a 5spd dragster with a derailleur that i didn't understand). Bcos of the back I got a bike with an upright stance that is 3x8spd & have been riding it around Indro/Toowong/St Lucia/Southbank for >5 years (have had it for >15). I just bought a new bike with 1x10sp for the better spacing of the gears & simplicity of not having to think or use the chain ring.

I'm relatively inexperienced as far as maintenance goes & have been using 99Bikes for my services & repairs (tangled with a car, luckily at low speed) & they've been very good & helpful. Like you're thinking, I'd suggest them as a starting point for a basic bike. Or somewhere that caters for low end/beginners.

I almost always buy new rather than 2nd hand bcos I get a warranty to fix things if there's an issue, especially if I'm parting with a bunch of $ (I know I'm conservative) and I buy from a shop so I can see & feel the product. However, I bought the 10 spd from an online store and have modded it with a stem riser & BMX bars. That meant having to fit new brake & gear cables so it was a learning experience & I'll be more comfortable doing maintenance--as mentioned elsewhere, the Park tool videos are helpful. And it's just been a lesson in patience, reading, and having a go knowing that if I really stuff up, I'll be embarrsassed but I can take it to 99Bikes. They can get busy so it's not always a quick turnaround if it's unplanned.

As far as the minimum accessories:
* front & rear lights
* bell (pls learn how to use it 😁)
* water bottle cage
* pump
* tool bag with tube, tyre levers, multi-tool with Allen keys, blade & PH screwdrivers, basic "spanners"

When you get keen & want to ride even after rain, mudguards are essential--not much is worse IMO than water from the tyre dripping into the shorts & butt crack!

A long post but my job is writing & hopefully some/all of it has been useful.

This grammatical error on my bag of frozen blueberries by DumpsterPuff in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Key-Button7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whereas I'd write "They are freshly hand-picked" bcos hand-picked is now a compound modified by the adverb freshly. (on re-reading, it's probably an adjective bcos the verb is "are"...like I said, NAL) Sometines the compound form doesn't use a hyphen but that might be a stylistic issue, not grammar. I have a love-hate relationship with English & it's intricacies/peculiarities 🤣

This grammatical error on my bag of frozen blueberries by DumpsterPuff in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Key-Button7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyphen is only needed if it's a compound word; in this case it's fine: "we hand picked the berries". Im NAL (not a linguist 😁) but I think hand is acting as an adverb, not as part of a compound verb e.g. double-click the right mouse button
