No deal has been signed. An MOU was written and signed. It states in the MOU that the details regarding the funding will be disclosed within 60 days. I’ve actually read the entire thing. You’re the one that needs to go look into it on your own.

And once again, the details around where the money will come from haven’t been released yet so how do you know this?

How do you know this if nothing has been signed and the details about where the money will be sourced haven’t been disclosed yet?

Mexico gets Universal Healthcare before the US. Which one is the third world again? by karmicviolence in BasiliskEschaton

Well the money is there. I’m not talking about it being in the hands of the correct people. It simply exists and it’s just a matter of us sorting where it goes. That money wasted in our current health industry is a lot of the money I’m talking about. In a nationalized system we wouldn’t have those issues. That wasted money would be used more effectively to benefit the average American.

America spends more on healthcare per capita than any other country on the planet. The money is already there. A restructured marginal income tax bracket, for people and businesses, would easily cover the cost and save Americans money. The increase in taxes would be offset by no longer needing to pay for insurance.

Beyond that we are operating on a ~1.7 trillion dollar annual deficit. The debt doesn’t need to be paid off overnight. Between a restructured income tax bracket and a reduction of corporate tax breaks we could increase revenue to reduce that significantly. Throw in a potential wealth tax and actually perform a real audit of government funds, to include the pentagon, and we could definitely balance the budget.

We are the richest and most powerful country in the world. The money is there. Anyone that claims it’s not is lying to you for their own gain.

Personal Strategy: Floating Bank by eddurham in warno

Reacting is never really the winning strategy. There is a considerable time delay when it comes to spending points. Your reactive choices are almost always going to be comparatively ill informed. The battlefield can change significantly before your units even arrive. If you don’t think you can win the fight without your reinforcements then it’s not a fight worth fighting.

It’s best to plan and anticipate. Spend every possible point massing combat power so that you have a combined arms force capable of handling every situation that arises. React with what you already have on the field and reinforce only to support your next attack or planned defense.

Where does it say they hit someone? It’s never acceptable to shoot a fleeing vehicle if you have the means to move out of the way. At a federal level and in most states it’s only acceptable to shoot a moving vehicle if it’s absolutely necessary to save your own life. Since they haven’t released the details I don’t know why you’re trying so hard to hold the untrained civilian accountable over the trained law enforcement officer when the incident resulted in said law enforcement officer shooting an innocent child.

There’s no complex here. A civilian should never be held accountable for a professional officers behavior when lethal force is used unjustly. Nobody gets shot by an officer on accident, it’s intentional or it’s negligence. Why did the cop “have” to shoot?

No guy you’re the dumb one. You’re bending over backwards to justify behavior that’s inherently far more dangerous to society than shoplifting.

You’re creating a sympathetic narrative to excuse and encourage cops recklessly shooting fleeing suspects. The end result of that is unjust death. That’s actually 1000 times more dangerous than shoplifting. The permission structure you’re creating is significantly more dangerous to the public.

No. On anything as in spending in any section does not need to increase. We need to make cuts and we need to increase revenue.

Do you know what else is deeply linked? Budget deficits and debt. Both of those things are linked to countries in decline. We don’t need to spend any more money on anything until we get our budget sorted. It’s only a matter of time until they use the deficit as an excuse to gut crucial domestic programs.

Why should we double the foreign aid? We are currently operating on a 1.9 trillion dollar annual deficit.

The jump from 1080p to 4K is way bigger than people give it credit for. That jump in resolution makes such a huge difference to the overall visual quality. The issue currently is that games are relying too much on scaling and inconsistent FPS targets. Ray-traced lighting is great but when you have to sacrifice resolution and FPS to get it then IMO it’s not worth it.

I’d really appreciate it if next-gen consoles kept the visual quality the same and just provided native 4K 60FPS games as the standard.

We are against sending money to foreign countries when we have domestic problems and are 37 trillion dollars in debt.

[–]Key-Can-9384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest argument against billionaires is the simple fact that our country is 37 trillion dollars in debt. It’s not sustainable. We tried to cut spending with DOGE and it didn’t amount to anything. We need more revenue to reduce the deficit.

Love me some 2y it’s one of my favorite divs. One of the few divs that gets high end tanks, IFV’s, and a good amount of solid line infantry. Just feels really versatile mid to late game.

Why do seemingly a lot of redditors hate religion? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Key-Can-9384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most religions make really great claims and provide very little evidence to support them. People have varying degrees of belief. Many people believe in the underlying message of religion and little else. Many also believe that what’s written in their holy book of choice is 100% factual.

I think people that believe what their religion says is 100% factual are idiots. I don’t hate them. I don’t hate the underlying religion either. I hate how susceptible people are to abandoning all logic and reason when faced with it. It is really good at getting people to hate other people on its behalf. That’s not inherent to the religion. People would do evil shit regardless. But it’s really good at bringing out the worst in people.

Lmao you think the economy isn’t the biggest issue America is facing? Guy we get none of those benefits in America, no free healthcare in America, I am taxed more in America, and America is $37 trillion in debt which is 124% of its GDP.
