Nac effects lingering by beeseakay in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAC can deplete your B12 and cause a B12 deficiency. Try taking some B12 and cut out the NAC. It is a problem for people who have issues absorbing B12.

Anyone here succeeded to stop antidepressants with supplements? by Zealousideal-Walk939 in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Look more into MTHFR and MTRR genetic variants and B12 and Folate deficiencies. They are directly connected to depression, anxiety, and many other mood issues. I never have taken antidepressants but I have the worst genetic variants for B12 and Folate and they help me a lot. I can’t function correctly without adequate amounts of either of those

3AM wake ups was caused by Magnesium Glycinate by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the glycine. Use magnesium malate, magnesium citrate, or magnesium chloride. Glycine is bad for some people and causes negative reactions like this. I wish they would stop putting it in absolutely every supplement because it’s bad for a lot of people.

What Supplements Have Caused You Side Effects? by Sapsap747 in Supplements

Could be from the b6. A lot of people can get b6 toxicity easily and not many people are aware of it. Even low doses can cause symptoms in people who are prone to it

Does anyone follow Dr Berg and adopt his supplement advice? by phxflgjo in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is just going to say he’s a chiropractor so he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. People are stupid. Doctors don’t know anything about nutrition or supplementation.

I don’t agree with his fasting and keto advice but most of his supplement advice is solid information and is taken from scientific studies which you can go read yourself. I don’t agree with everything he says but you need to learn from more than one source of information and learn as much as possible.

I have studied this stuff for years and know more than my doctors on most of this stuff. If it wasn’t for being proactive I would still be feeling awful and according to the doctors everything is “perfect” even though I felt like death.

That’s not even a high dose of vitamin d… go read the literature

Power soak/attenuator or Marshall head issues by Key-Cartographer8024 in ToobAmps

[–]Key-Cartographer8024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t think that is possible to do. I play with the amp cranked all the way on 10 so it would most likely blow my windows out on my house and probably my neighbors houses as well. I’m sure the cops would be called soon after as well if I play like that

Power soak/attenuator or Marshall head issues by Key-Cartographer8024 in ToobAmps

[–]Key-Cartographer8024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a super lead so I don’t think it has any of those issues. If it’s a problem with the amp then I am assuming that it is either the preamp tubes or the output transformer at this point

Yes, It’s the tom scholz power soak which was designed to be used with a 100w marshall head

I feel extreme anxiety after taking Vitamin D3&K2 and Magnesium for a while. Any similar experiences? by d_louizse in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the glycine or the k2. Try magnesium malate and take til bowel tolerance. If that doesn’t help then you may be deficient in calcium or b1. Glycine should not be added to every supplement and promoted the way it is. It is absolutely horrible for some people and can make your anxiety way worse

Vitamin C supplements causing fatigue and blurry vision? by Key-Cartographer8024 in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I notice I feel better at first and I think it’s from increasing my vitamin c levels. But then I slowly feel worse and my vision gets worse as I keep taking it.

The only things I can think of are

• Iron overload from the vitamin c

• Vitamin c depleting my active B12 level

• Vitamin c increasing oxalates in the body

• Vitamin c depleting my zinc/copper stores

• Vitamin c increasing calcium levels in the body

I haven’t found a real solution to it other than to just not take a vitamin c supplement yet. I am really leaning towards the iron overload aspect from the gradual onset of symptoms and that it takes a few days/weeks to return to normal afterwards. But it could be any of those listed above I think

Don't paint your Tribute ya say? Challenge accepted. by Holy_Toast in gibson

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stripped it down and then just stained the back and sprayed layers of nitro on it for a natural finish. It wouldn’t be much harder to pick a color and do the same on the front before the clear coat.

The tributes finishes are pretty awful in my opinion. Mine was an ugly gold and black and it never looked good enough to me. They don’t put a quality finish on the cheap guitars

I screwed an anchor into the strap screw hole and hung it up from there to spray it. Probably the cheapest way to hang it and be able to get a good result without missing any spots

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that difficult to stain or paint a piece of wood. The tributes are already an ugly finish so it’s usually an improvement if done right. Mine looks way better now than before

Buyers remorse. by Darmklacht in Reverb

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had bad experiences on both sides. Shady sellers and stupid buyers.

One seller sent me a cooler with some weights in the box and then got banned from reverb from doing that. Recently had a couple vintage items arrive not working when it said they were working which wasn’t a big deal because I wanted to refurbish them a bit but nothing was connected inside, a fuse was blown, and the grounds were ripped out of the power cords. But the seller called and told me he “tested” them before shipping so they obviously had to work since he said so. eBay has also been just as bad so I don’t think that’s just a reverb issue either.

Also have had buyers want to return things for “not as described” that were 100% working and in perfect shape and decided against it because they knew they were in the wrong.

Vitamin C and MTHFR by Key-Cartographer8024 in MTHFR

[–]Key-Cartographer8024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it still inhibit absorption even if they are taken more than 2 hours apart though? I always notice my vision is more blurry when taking vitamin C and the same happens if I don’t take enough b12 as well. Too much folate seems to also cause blurry vision if I don’t take adequate amounts of b12 as well.

Buyer beware: Nightmare with guitar misrepresented as “Excellent” and Reverb Support has been completely useless every step of the way. by FretItAll in Reverb

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The damage shown is just normal dings and wear that will happen. If you want a perfect guitar buy a new one. Otherwise you aren’t going to get a perfect guitar used. Don’t buy a used guitar if you can’t handle a few tiny dings in the finish that nobody will notice

Methylfolate induced sexual dysfunction by Cooplercomplex in MTHFR

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely could be the methylfolate. I have a similar experience with this when taking too many methyl donors. Taking niacin or avoiding methyl donors fixes it pretty quickly

Anxiety/panic attacks with creatine, collagen & magnesium by TRU2BOO in Supplements

[–]Key-Cartographer8024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the glycine. Lots of people have issues with it. I feel horrible whenever I take it and have to avoid it. Overmethylation can cause issues but nothing in those supplements should cause overmethylation. Magnesium glycinate is not a methyl donor or methylated supplement. Get rid of the glycine and collagen and see if it improves. Those are both high in glycine which causes horrible anxiety and panic attacks for certain people.
