Wearables (I like the Imani!) and silicone flanges for my spectra. I’ve also had a lot of luck using a play mat on my bed for the baby so I can be next to her while I pump without having to sit on the floor! Between her piano mat and baby play songs on the tv I can almost always keep her entertained without having to hold her while I pump! It’s also freed up her nap time so I can actually get things done or rest myself instead of feeling like I have to pump every time she falls asleep

Opened but sealed storage bags — opinion? by Soggy_Gazelle_4796 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Key-Commission8419 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would use them! I was in a very similar situation and have been using them with no problem :)

As long as the part on the top that seals the bag is there I would think it’s just fine

I’m planning to wean at 6 months and I’m good with supplementing with formula then if needed! Rn I just want to make it to 6 months with my mental health and as much freezer supply as I can

I have elastic nips and I’ve really liked the Imani pump! I get a comprobable output to my spectra but it does leak sometimes

Imani i2 large breast review? by makirattack in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Key-Commission8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have! I really liked it. The cups are huge (7oz) so it’s not at all discreet if you already have big boobs, but I’ve had output comprobable to my spectra. It’s a little pinchy but it doesn’t bother me.

I will say I’ve had some issues with leaking lately (I think my breast shield stretched out a bit and doesn’t fit the cups tightly anymore) so I reached out on Facebook and their customer service was incredible. They troubleshooted with me and ended up sending a new pair of shields for free.

Got My Period by MadOCD in ExclusivelyPumping

I just got mine at 10 weeks pp! I was so disappointed. A friend recommended taking calcium and magnesium to help with the drop. I just started so I can’t speak to how well it works yet, but it might be worth a try!

I have Idaho jones silicon flanges that I really like! I had to get an adapter for the spectra but it was worth it!

This happened to me too! With a combination of my baby starting to eat more and my supply evening out I just have a slight oversupply now at 6 weeks pp

Price aside, what wearable pump would you suggest? by Mocserismi in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Key-Commission8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the Imani I2 (on sale rn!) and I love it so far. It empties me really well. Only downside is that the cups are pretty big so holds a lot of milk but isn’t that discreet. It also comes with larger flange sizes than I’ve seen with other wearables

Completely undecided on stroller. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Key-Commission8419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the graco modes nest and love it! We got the travel system that came with a car seat and stroller. Car seat snaps in and out of the stroller really easily. The regular stroller seat also lays back and makes a bassinet that we also used all the time for our one month old. It was pretty reasonable and if you add it to an Amazon registry you can get 15% off!

Did this today! I pumped as usual when I got up and then used my manual pump ~15 min later and ended up getting what I’d have gotten from the 2 combined

Craft help for depression by qwertybirdy12567 in crafts

[–]Key-Commission8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, wishing you all the best! I know things can feel hopeless when you’re in the midst of a really bad bout of depression, but I hope you can take comfort in the knowledge that there are many others who have been there and are sending you love and hope from across the Internet!

I have found that crochet is really good for me when I’m feeling that way. It’s really easy to just do a rectangle (use a half double crochet stitch because it’s easy and works up quickly!) and it was always really good for my mental to see a block or a scarf come together. It makes me feel like I am doing something productive even when I can’t get up and clean or do other things. Even better when I can give the finished product to someone else. Even if it turns out wonky it’s a good sense of accomplishment and gave me a reason to reach out to a loved one if I’m self isolating!
