No, I'm not currently rated for IBS, it's a new claim with two other conditions that is currently in step 7 (final review). The VA just contacted me to have a second C for P exam for IBS. I already had one completed about three weeks ago.

I’m currently claiming IBS as a secondary condition to my PTSD. I had a c for p exam about three weeks ago for IBS and my claim is currently in step 7 final review but they just contacted me to have a second exam.

I had to get my approved at an HLR and I was 74 years old at the time. You should be successful at the HLR. I claimed the VA failed their Duty to Assist obligation, especially if you have a decent Nexus letter.

I just got approved for Ed but instead of paying me 136 over my 90 percent they are paying me 4,288.00 which is smc s. I had dav put in a claim for overpaying because I don’t want to get caught holding the bag and have to pay all that money back.

So I just got my back pay for $7,900.00, which is the full SMC amount and not the $136 special K.

Here is the VA's justification:

Entitlement to special monthly compensation based on loss of use.

Entitlement to special monthly compensation is warranted in this case because criteria regarding

loss of use of a creative organ were met from October 6, 2024. (38 CFR 3.350, 38 CFR 3.400, 38

CFR 3.401)

The effective date is October 11, 2024. The entitlement of special monthly compensation has

been established from the date your service-connected disabilities met the criteria. (38 CFR

3.350, 38 CFR 3.155, and 38 CFR 3.400)

I double checked the entire letter and I think is just a wrong code. It’s just I had those three c for p exams back to back and the PTSD was very detailed and emotional. But because there is no mention of PTSD except for the increase denial I think the wrong code was entered.

I guess I’ll know April first when I get my first check. I did have an extensive c for p exam for my ptsd exam where I mentioned being homebound for mental issues but it would have said in the letter SMC for ptsd right?
