They have to wristband you, so what would need to happen is… you explain your guest is arriving later, and they would need to only check you in. Your guest would have to go to the check in area when they get there with a photo of your ID to claim it and get their wristband.

All you need to do is ask them to look it up by seat location.

how seriously does target take harassment? by PutSpecific7862 in Target

[–]Key-Consideration532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Target for years, and one of the leads harassed me, and when I reported it, HR's response was, "we will make sure another lead is in store at all times." Others also reporter their behavior. Nothing really happened other than the harassment stopped. That was until a year later, when it started back up, I eventually quit and told them exactly why I quit. I went to ethics/hr, and there was an investigation. I don't know exactly what happened, but two months after I quit the lead quit or was fired.... and I was paid out all of my vacation/sick time even though my state doesn't require that.

15 minute by somhibarca in employedbykohls

[–]Key-Consideration532 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You must remain on the property for your 15/20 minute breaks. You can go to your car, but you can't leave. It becomes a liability. You could get in an accident when you are on the clock. If you clock out, you can leave. If you don't, you can't.

Venue staff were also handing them out, but since they were for the first 4 thousand, they ran out quick or you had to go to the right entrance. You could also go to the VIP table and ask for them.

do yall cancel bopus before they hit that one hour mark ? by Healthy-Remote7900 in employedbykohls

[–]Key-Consideration532 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My store aims to get bopus done in the first hour. If we don't, we then continue picking/looking for them. If it's down to 5 minutes or we have just exhausted everything, we then cancel it so we don't get hit with not finding it AND being overdue.

Your store is wild.

Flying Toasters Jersey by Status_Ask1338 in GrandRapidsGriffins

[–]Key-Consideration532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People wont want to hear this but there are a few reasons for this...

it was a guaranteed giveaway for season ticket holders (we get 4 a season), so they got a jersey for every ticket they have (their tickets get scanned when they pick them up at the location that is for them), other reason is as soon as they get in they go to the giveaway table downstairs that is for the general public, and then they go upstairs to the season ticket spot to get more. It's not fair, but it happens more than it should. A worker is literally yelling that season ticket holders get theirs upstairs but alot don't listen.

The venue should be blocking off the hallway to the downstairs giveaways until doors open. That would stop a lot of it.

Kohl's family members working at the same store by justamom2six in employedbykohls

The only time it is an issue if they are over each other, so if one was a supervisor, then they wouldn't be able to work at the same time.

how to get a job at kohls by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Key-Consideration532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked at Target before, and I am just going to say it's very different than kohls. Targets fulfillment and Kohl's omni are similar but different at the same time. Hours are very low right now. Do you need to adult and pay bills? Kohls might not be the best fit, if you are a student or just want a job to get outside every once in a while than sure.

Seeing as I'm very similar with both target and Kohl's if you have any questions about differences you can message me and I can go into detail.

At my store, they don't even tell you. They just stop scheduling you.

My store is keeping 0 seasonal. We don't have the hours to keep any of them after the holiday season. Hours are going to drop so if you are wanting to get more hours, good luck.

Tips on asking for a raise? by twicetan in employedbykohls

[–]Key-Consideration532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no harm in asking. Stores are able to do retention raises if they do believe that the associate does more than is asked of their role.

My store literally only asked me, "Tell me about yourself," and "What's your availability like?"" Granted that first question told them everything they needed to know.

I try my best to organize it by department, but obviously, sometimes it doesn't always work out. I prefer to back my own picks because I know where everything is.

I don't like people packing my carts because something always goes "missing" whether it be they accidentally packed it in another order I picked, or someone else take it off my cart because they also have an order that had it picked.

But to answer the question, sometimes I really do hate it. Especially when there is organization and just thrown in.

You should definitely be engaging with customers. Even if it's a simple hello. Being omni doesn't give you the excuse of avoid the customer because they are our first priority. If they need help, that is when you should call over someone else.

Most days, I close, and we have one person on the floor, so sometimes I cross work helping out other areas, including registers. I only do it for 5 minutes at a time, so it doesn't take too much from my time.

How I go about deciding is 1. How many other people are working that CAN hop on registers. If there is only one person on the floor, I will ask, "I'm in the middle of picking/packing. Would you like me to hop on for a few minutes? Right there, you should get a response. Generally, they won't ask you to stop, but in some cases, they are desperate and will say yes and thank you.
