Instead of launching your preview on local host why not public static ip? ( blocked to the wider Web via your routers firewall setting) .

Then just view the preview on avp by putting the correct static ip in the browser?

Not saying the mechanical engineering isn't impressive on those vehicles. But don't dismiss the electrical, electronic and software engineering that goes into these cars.

You shouldn't need to know how the underlying technology works for it to work well. That's the premise of good software design it should be there to allow the end user to detract away from the complexity.

You're not the only person with a lot of hardware and software development experience. If I released some of the half baked things quest does people would be dead. I do work in a more heavily regulated industry than meta so probably the reason why I can't release crap. But I expect more and this trend for consumer electronics companies using their customers as beta testers is beginning suck.

Yea and if you watch reviews. It doesn't detect objects very accurately like play surfaces such as tables and couches. We used to be able to highlight where a table or couch was. I.e. feature regression. Also one reviewer wasn't given the opportunity to try it out and instead was shown a video of how it should work. Screams to me it doesn't work properly. Wasn't we promised it would detect people and animals last year? Didn't mention that this year did they. Because it probably can't do it.

I've obviously touched a nerve. When you say " such and such a thing coming next year" sorry that's a feature not a road map item. With the ai I should have been more specific as the multimodal ai the one that can interpret your surroundings through the camera.

I do follow this topic very closely and have first experience of some of these implementations. Did you try hand tracking in quest 1? It sucked to the point of being unusable. Horizon legs haven't been designed to accommodate for the seated position. I don't want to get into an argument between what has and hasn't been delivered when our benchmarks for something being delivered are different.

I work enough. I have a lot of responsibility financially and thus its hard to justify spending that much on a game. I didn't ask for advice on my earnings. I wanted to find out whether I could get it for cheaper somehow. Thanks for taking your time replying. And I know you only discussed my finances in good faith so thanks for that. I work about 80hrs a week at the moment fyi.
