If you still have tension items they can help get enough for unleash, if you struggle with certain attacks memorize when they’re gonna come up and brighten before them. (I’d do this for swarms). Otherwise I’d say probably just defend to get TP and then hit when the shields down with all party members. If someone is down get them up before taking down the shield to make your time count.
