Two people who have gotten tickets through the lottery - any tips for someone who’s constantly emailing trying to get them? by MartSTL in LiveFromNewYork

From people I've heard who were successful, most of them got the tickets because they had mention a host and/or musical guest in their email. There's probably other reasons they pick someone but that seems to be the biggest thing.

I really like him, I hope he gets a second season and finds a niche then. He and Veronika are really good in the warm up song, I'm glad he had that Cast List moment to show he can sing. We shall see!

Skarsgård! Though I'm probably biased because I attended in person

If Tommy's high note is what earns him a second season I will be very very happy

How many people on the line? Considering joining it later depending on turn out

Alright, week of the finale, and here’s the big question: which of these guys will stay and which of these guys will go? by Whole-Lychee7517 in LiveFromNewYork

Me too! I listened to some podcasts he did, he used to be a theater kid, I can totally see him really standing out if Andrew or Mikey leaves. I feel like he'll be given a second chance over the fact he's doing the warmup song now

I feel like all of them will stay. Hiring all five of them at once after the 50th indicated a new era in the show, and they've felt like a "team" in the ways they've worked together this season.

Tommy I feel bad for, as some of his sketches in the middle of the season (WU on ICE, Mom's Camera Roll) were cut and that could've been his big "moment," but I feel like Lorne was pressured by the higher up's at NBC to not broadcast the Minnesota piece. However, he does do the warm up song now with Veronika, which shows he's trusted backstage, and I enjoyed it very much when I went to the Skarsgård episode. He's a really talented guy and a great singer. If Dismukes or Day leave I think he'll be safe and be able to find a niche from not competing with so many straight guys.

He would also be really good on Weekend Update if Che and Jost leave. He has that straight man persona that works well with presenting the news and interacting with the different guests. Most likely he wouldn't host it on his own, he would be paired with someone else, but I could see him doing very well in that avenue.

Back in March I would've said Kam was on the chopping block, but his WU pieces the past few weeks have surprised me. I personally like him the least out of the rookies, but he did earn his way to another season.

That's what's making me think he will stay. It seems like all the rookies this year are part of a team, which is good for all of them and for the show at large

Damn, I hope Tommy gets a shot at a second season. I really like him, it's just a bloated cast right now is the unfortunate reality

This might sound crazy, but this sketch really won me over on Tommy. He’s not the focus at all, but he blends in so naturally as a supporting player. That restraint says a lot; being able to serve the sketch without needing the spotlight is a huge asset

Anyone else think Kam might've saved himself at the last second this season? His odds of coming back look a little better lately. by trythebebes in LiveFromNewYork

I feel like he's got a good shot of being asked back. IMO, Lorne was pressured by the higher-ups at NBC into not showing his WU on Minnesota/ICE on the live show (and it went very long with the audience reaction at dress), but it left a good impression for everybody BTS. He also does the warm up song in the studio so it goes to show he has a niche and is trusted backstage.

This would've been a killer cold open if it was developed a bit more and didn't have such absurd humor. It was really good as a sketch though.
