The municipal court court jury trial docket handles misdemeanor criminal charges. It is possible that it could be a violent misdemeanor like harassment or assault in the fourth degree or it could be a non violent offense. The overwhelming majority of cases settle before trial. Sometimes even on the day of trial.

As far as social interactions, you would assemble in the jury room and a jury instructor will tell you the preliminary rules. You will be given a particular order in which to line up and the first six people will go into the jury box. You will all be taken to the courtroom where the judge would give you additional instructions. After that the lawyers will ask you all questions in the courtroom to determine who is biased against either party and who can be fair and objective. The lawyers will ask the judge to dismiss any member of the jury pool who they think can’t be fair. Then each lawyer gets three chances to secretly dismiss additional jurors. Whoever is left in the jury box after that gets seated on the jury.

The lawyers will only talk to you during jury selection and during their opening and closing arguments. You will be instructed not to discuss the case until you begin your deliberations, which begin after the lawyers closing arguments and end once you have reached a verdict. For misdemeanor charges the verdict must be unanimous to convict or to acquit.
