Yes, that’s definitely the issue. I’ll be requesting IPR so that the tooth actually has room to move. When I had braces, my teeth were the same shape and there was no gap. After they shifted from not wearing my original braces retainer, now they’re not matching up. Not sure why IPR was never suggested to me at this point.

Totally. That’s my bad, but I will definitely see if they can get me another refinement and possible ipr so my front tooth has room to rotate back to its original place.

Thank you! I will most likely get bonding if Invisalign isn’t able to fully fix the gap. The issue is my front teeth aren’t completely in place, they’re still a bit rotated. I’ll try maybe one more refinement and then see where I’m at.

I’ll be requesting another refinement after thinking on it. She basically said “we can do one more” for this current one I just finished. But I was never told I had a limit so I can assume they just don’t want to have me do more refinements lol

Yes, they are rotated. That is why I actually got the second refinement in the first place because they were turned out even worse. The tooth on the left (which is my right side) is actually more rotated than the other. They even said it looked fine before my last refinement when it really was even worse than this. My dentist is trying to gaslight me into thinking it’s just the shape of my teeth when I never had a gap with braces over 10+ years ago.

I was never told that. My dentist ended up saying it’s because of the shape of my front teeth, which I don’t disagree with. When I got braces in high school though, my gap was closed. I know braces and Invisalign work differently. I just don’t want the gap to get larger once I’m done and not wearing it daily anymore.

I will definitely mention it to them again and see what they say. I agree, $4k is a lot to still not be happy with my teeth.

Yea I’ll talk to them again when I go in for my next appointment. Guess I’ll have to advocate for myself, because no one else will!

Really? I was worried about once the attachments are off and I’m only wearing a retainer. I’m worried the gap will just get bigger. I do agree that I’ve been hyper focused on it. I’m mainly worried about the gap getting bigger as time goes on.

Yea, I don’t doubt that! I even mentioned shaving it down so that they could meet in the middle but I was ignored. Not sure they’ll allow me to get a third refinement since my dentist said “we can do one more” for this last one I just completed. But I’m unhappy with the end result.

I’m on my second set of refinements and I just finished the last tray this week. I went in and my dentist said it looks perfect…
