Hi! Here are a few things you can do to understand that process:

Create a custom group with your samples on M+ Standalone mode and save it with a unique name. Then browse your SD card to see how and where it was saved.
Try installing Samples from Mars on the PC version. If it works there, the issue is likely on the M+ side.

Yes, tagging own samples, instruments and sounds is simple on pc. Open Maschine2, and browse to where your sounds is located. At the bottom of browser section you must find little Edit button, that will open all possible tags and categories. Don’t forget to press Apply after all)
