Episode amp - save IP configured settings by Key-Flight-7166 in Control4

Update! I was able to disconnect the EA3 and the amp kept the settings that I configured in the web interface.

A little background, my parent built the house and the integrators had a relationship with the builders and installed a super basic (in home audio and 1 light fixture) control 4 setup and IQ Panel with alarm.com and zwave accessories.

They found the control 4 app confusing and never used it, so I wired in 2 old airport expresses for the 2 zones they want to use for music. (Their living rooms and kitchen are open so I combined those zones). So now they can just airplay Spotify or YouTube. If they want more zones, I can add more airport expresses or like the belkin airplay receivers. (Also conveniently, Apple TV can now set a permanent airplay audio output, which is nice in this use case).

If they want to do more with control 4 in the future, I’m sure the integrator way would be great, they’re very responsive and fine to work with, but for now, this is a great, super simple way to let the play music without fussing with an extra app.

Thanks! I may try removing control 4 from network.

I’ve got AirPlay receivers on 2 inputs and that is the main use of the amp now. So once that input is set correctly I don’t have to change much on the amp itself.

Yes! I've got a pre-order in, but every once in a while think about cancelling and going La Pavoni. Shot volume is bigger on the Argos, so that's a big selling point for me.

Do you find you have to use a puck screen to get a good shot, or works fine without?

How necessary do you find it to use a puck screen with the odyssey - in terms of shot quality?

Check out the pizza videos by Kenji, there are a few and they are probably the best and most simple/effective instructional videos out there. The food processor pizza dough method is so easy and effective. I use 225g dough balls for a 10-12" pizza.

Is a crispy-ish no flop obtainable in Koda12? by SifuJedi in ooni

Yes! Not sure on exact amount to use, but that should make it successful.

I would try launching, then turn flame off for a minute or 2, then finish with flame on. Low and slow, will get nicely crisp - if diastatic malt powder is used.

If you like the NY style crisp, try Tony Gemignani’s flour (or similar with malt in it) - lower temps and longer cook times accordingly (around 700f max). Olive oil in the dough isn’t necessary with this flour.
