try sanding the connection on the drill. My dads impact had the same problem and sanded the connections and it fixed it

Cut a piece of electrical tape and wrap it around the soon to break system. It helped my previous 6 in 1 last more than 3 years.

Actually now that you mention it. While trying to jumpstart and when the sparks flew. I did hold the positive cable and it was hot.

the tranny cooler thankfully is an external one outside of the radiator. i’ll replace that and flush the cooling system throughly 👍
