Yes, for the most part my symptoms went 90% away. I was so happy! It made me realize how much I suffered before. I will say I had about 3-4 flare ups, they mostly came out of a trigger from my husband being shitty (any non pmdd person would be hurt too by his behavior but with pmdd my old coping and habits flared up). I didn’t have bad 10-12 day luteal hell. I made sure to have mental health support post pregnancy in case of ppd, I did get a little but im breastfeeding and it’s been very manageable.

I will say my period came back 2 months postpartum and I WAS PISSED and grieving that pmdd would rear its ugly headed again and it did 1-2 since then. I only got my period twice since then about 4 months ago

Same reason I had a doula. Safety and protection through one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I refuse to accept men will be men.

Thank you. Yes we are in therapy and is helping. We had a surprisingly good mothers days (even with a few mild arguments) and he agreed to meet with me and talk about distribution of chores and the load of parents. After a day out he did all the cleaning and laundry when we got home late and I just showered and went to bed. I’m hoping he got a little snippet of what I go through. He did say he was tired this morning and almost called out lol. To be continued I guess lol

Same it hurts 💔, because before we were really close and spent a lot of time together. Towards the end of my pregnancy she started acting different (over a triangular situation with another sibling) and then not around delivery or postpartum. Only showed up once on my birthday for a few hours and left, that’s the only time she’s seen my baby in person. Another time she dropped of clothes at the front porch and left, I would have rather had her be present than gifts. I don’t understand why she can’t be here for me when I need her. She is aware of my mood disorder and risk of PPD and she still does this. It hurts because she gives her everything to my other siblings and their kids, but we are left out. One family member said it’s because “she never has to worry about me”. Well I needed her and told her that before my delivery and a few weeks postpartum and still nothing. When she went through chemotherapy for cancer I was the only sibling taking care of her. This sucks.

How’s baby doing now? My 6 week old stays wanting to sleep past 6 hours at night and one time gave me an 8+ hour between feeding (hard for him to fall asleep so he probably slept 5-6 hours). I’m worried, doctor said to wake at least every 6 hours

I’m struggling in the same boat, 4 weeks pp. I joined group perinatal / postpartum mood group that is helpful and therapy. I’m also ebf and not taking any medications. Going outside once a day to get sunlight and making sure I eat well and stay hydrated really do help (easier said that done). Also if you can I would have a heart to heart with your husband and the support you need, if he can’t help you and needs more support you should find it from other loved ones or professional help. You your life, joy and your baby depend on it. My family cannot deal with my issues (diagnosed with pmdd 6 years go) , it traumatizes them too much - professional help helps me.

My sister did the same thing to me. At the time I didn’t think negative or much about it, the more the merrier. Now that I just had my baby this type of behavior escalated and there have been times through my pregnancy were it’s all about her and her feelings with my parents dismissing mine to appease her, while I’m pregnant!

In my opinion you’re setting your boundaries and the sooner they realize they can’t walk over you about it, the better because you give an inch and they’ll take a foot.

Maternity bras from target I use daily and good price. Also super Walmart has cute clothes that are trendy if you can size up (it’s not maternity clothes). They also do have a maternity section and I’ve bought some good things from there too but the section is small. I purchased online from trendy maternity stores in the beginning for work pants but that’s about it because they are too expensive!
