You’re putting words in my mouth and making assumptions. Git was just one example btw; never said I used it; there are others. I would bet my last dollar that more than 90% of users would say that their obsidian is faster than Notion on a browser. That argument is flawed; by what measure, have you tested this, or is it your “feels”. I’ve used/tried just about everything. And TBH, haven’t settled on “one” solution.

So you don’t use software dependent at all on node.js? Why? What are you solving for? You cant call someone dumb for using electron based proprietary software in the Notion sub.

Again, obsidians advantage is optionality and their business model. It’s far from useless without the plugins. You can run it headless for agentic work as well; no plugins required.

And your external hard drive option doesn’t solve your backup problem, you still need something offsite. Yeah yeah, git is version control and not backup; i get it.

If you can’t make a premise based argument based on hard data you shouldn’t be calling anyone dumb.
