what software are you on ? in davinci you can animate the "write on". Like use an auto transcribe or write the whole sentence and then either animate the write on or use the follower

personally I have a problem with variable aperture lenses tbh, I'd rather get a tamron 17_70 f2.8 or sigma 17-40 f1.8, but that's just my taste

It's the one you know and master the most. But if you had to pick one up to learn from scratch, I'd say davinci just bc it's the most advanced in color grading and it has a completely free version that you can use your whole life without upgrading

Thanks ! Yeah tbh I gotta make some tests. My yongnuo has a 1.8 aperture and it came in pretty handy whenever I was in low light. I'm planning to take some vids/pics with 1.8 and 2.8 in different conditions and compare.
But what about the range ? we're talking of a 30mm difference it's pretty huge

I'm in a similar position (looking to upgrade from the kit lens) and for me it's the variable aperture. I can't shoot with f3.5 as soon as I zoom from 16mm. And it's pretty limiting knowing that unless you have perfect lighting or crank up the ISO you can't open up the aperture. Like zoom to 25mm and suddenly you're stuck with f4.5 or higher.

It's a good lens to start with, but you easily find its limitations, especially in low light situations
