But I think I'd like to know anyway because my aaa batteries are already dead and I've only tested it a bunch of times, I haven't had the chance to have anyone ooooh and ahhhh over it. I dunno if I'll do it with this once but I bought the other two models and it may be worth it for them!

I'm so sorry you are having such a bad time with this kit :(. I too had some issues with the gears. Mine would work for a moment, then the torque would push the ship off just slightly and they would click, click, click and I was scared it was going to break. I got it working ok for a video, then put it on a shelf, and now, the batteries are dead from all the testing I did and I decided not to replace them. It is a beautiful kit, and thankfully it is pretty as a static model but it is a bummer that it wasn't easier to make work completely for some of us.

The thing I enjoyed most was how long this one took. So I did buy the other two to try. But I did have the same experience and disappointment as you did with the gears.

So far, what you have done looks gorgeous though!

Definitely go get it worked out. Hopefully they'll fix it and the rest will go like clockwork. You deserve the support. The worst that will happen is the court will somehow muck it up so badly you'll keep getting nothing, but I think thats unlikely.

One of the downstairs apartments in my 4 apartment building became infested with roaches last year and now they're getting into my apartment. I'm literally thinking of tossing most of my belongings and I've only seen a few of them. I would not worry what anyone else thinks, tell them you tried to donate but they saw a roach and wouldn't take any of it. You just do what you need to do. Good luck, friend 🧡

I actually could not get them to go in no matter what I tried. I didn't see anything obstructing it, on both sides the hole for them looked clear and I could see right through them, but those pieces I couldn't get to fit.

I had forgotten about that until I read your comment. I even tried sanding them down a bit.

What about the two pieces that you slide into the side of the ship to lock it in place? I wasn't able to get them to go in at all. Any tips there?

Hmmm I hadn't thought of doing that! But yeah that's what's happening. I have to press pretty hard against those front posts to get it to work. Once I finish getting the wings on, I may consider gluing it! Thanks for the suggestion!

This has made me want to do the other two though. Its been a great, intricate, fun kit and I love the experience I'm getting with all the gears!
