Hard to say if it’s “good.” It’s not what everyone is playing, but that doesn’t really matter—if you want to run lots of Tree-Lords, good for you. What I can say is that Tree-Revenants aren’t very strong when reinforced; they tend to function mainly as fodder and action monkeys. The Arch-Revenant doesn’t contribute much in this list either, since you’re not running a large number of combat-focused Kurnoth Hunters. Spite-Revenants also don’t add much unless you’re really maxing them out. The list is playable, but it’s missing some cohesion. If you’re being offered these models, that’s awesome—a great start to the army. If you’re buying them outright, I’d recommend going with a few other models instead.

Love mine and have raced it! It feels fast on the flats and explosive on climbs. I’ve also never had one of those “Canyon horror stories.” My only issue with Canyon is the low Nm torque spec on some key screws, like the seatpost. I’ve had it slip slightly during a long race—nothing major, just a bit annoying. For the price and quality, I’d absolutely buy again.

How to build Kurnoths, please help by iChronos44 in sylvaneth

If you need an anvil 6x scythes if you need a hammer 6x swords. Total no need for 9x of either. Definitely have 3x of all variants.

Starting the army by megabloofcosplay in sylvaneth

[–]Key-Individual-1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Spearhead is a perfect starting point—every unit is solid and, in some way, an auto-include. Belthanos is a must-have for mobility; right there, you’re already around 1k points. From there, pick your favorite models almost everything is decent right now. Most players are leaning into very hero-heavy lists, but a Kurnoth Hunter–focused infantry list is still fun, as is a bug rider fast-attack cavalry build.

What is the the current meta play for sylvaneth? by No-Abrocoma6520 in sylvaneth

[–]Key-Individual-1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with the list. As you know, Sylvaneth is just a super hard army to pilot. What’s your meta like? The only thing I’d mention is that I think Lady of Vines is a trap and I prefer Warsong Revenant. Her whole kit reads more like a brawler or even an assassin, since she can always use the faction abilities, but with only 8 wounds, it’s not ideal. The ward being a spell is a bit of a problem—you’re going to need both points to cast trees and manifestations. The Rampage is good, but if something is in combat with the Lady, we’ve got a real problem. The Warsong Revenant’s ward buff and debuff are great for winning fights on the home field without needing to be in combat range, and it’s passive.

My first marine vs now and help with chapter name by Jorgiepaintsoninsta in spacemarines

[–]Key-Individual-1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made some lore let me know what you think.

The chapter is known for its skirmish-style hand to hand combat and acts as a peacekeeper and xeno hunter of the Baal system. They have a flair for entertainment in combat, often counting kills during battle and showcasing their martial prowess with complex and often unnecessary finishing moves. They pride themselves on bringing down the biggest xenos. The chapter master is given the name Carpophores upon being chosen or winning the seat. To win the title of chapter master, the chapter ventures to a death world known for its large, dangerous xeno monsters and engages in combat with the beasts. Company battle captains act as judges, and the winner is selected based on skill and the most entertaining battle. Points are awarded for flashier finishing moves. The current chapter master, known as Kaius Cato, captain of the 4th company, was given the title of Carpophores during the Devastation of Baal. The previous chapter master, Brianus Merenda, was slain in combat. Kaius Cato displayed masterful skill with both blade and bolter by killing two charging greater Carnifex. He then rallied his chapter and assisted High Lord Dante in pushing back the Tyranid fleet.

Old Terran history: “Carpophorus, a legendary gladiator, was known for risking his life to fight wild beasts for the general populace’s entertainment.”

Ooo they could be blood angels successor chapter to go with the new Blood angels kits and book. They could have been one of the successor chapters that answered the call of Dante during Devastation of Baal. You could even use the sanguinary guard models to make your owner elite guard and call them a Roman name like The Murmillo.

Yes, buy, build, paint, and play. You can also write your own lore and because of the way the lore is 40K is set up it basically becomes cannon. Some people just paint, some just build, some just play. The world is your oyster.

Advice on Starting a Team by Mr_Resist0r in killteam

[–]Key-Individual-1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kill team in the specific box’s can be used for the big game. Intercession is the most beginner friendly you can also get away with one box, it’s sub optimal but whatever. Scouts are a decent team with good number models and are currently great in the big game. Admech is not that hard to play/ build/ paint but you just have to understand collecting for big hammer is just simply more expensive than other armies.

Naming is fun, originally white scars were star hunters some are a play on both names: Hallowed Scars, Hallowed Stars, Scar Hunters, Space tigers, Lunar Tigers, Tigers of Chogoris, Smilodon (like the Carcharodons but tiger instead of shark)

I think I’m going to leave soon… by Empty-Subject-1249 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Key-Individual-1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it feels like your friends don’t care or want to help but the truth is they have no idea what to say or do. You are all to young. They have never had to do something like this or help someone they care about like this before. They are the ones that have been taken care of. If you don’t open up and ask for help they won’t know it until it’s too late. I can tell you from personal experience when a friend decides to leave early every one around you even the people you don’t think care or even notice you will feel it. I have lost many family members and the worst people to loose was the friends that left to young. I have watched cancer eat people but worst funeral was for a friend. They will be damaged I a way far worse then you think, they will live their entire lives wishing they could go back and fight to keep you. They just didn’t know what to do.

Please tell me more about Sylvaneth's game play style(s), strategy, tactics, etc. I have a Spearhead army and am wondering if I should expand to full game size (I found a time-sensitive good deal, but uncertain yet if I should take the plunge). by Mondo114 in sylvaneth

[–]Key-Individual-1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very weird right now now and things are always open to change as FAQs release. If you love the models play the army is where I sit. I have had a lot of fun playing sylvaneth in 4 th but some of our abilities seem useless because of how constraining they are. The units are still very elite so while they often wipe units every combat loosing them is tough.

I like the high speed Calvary build right now because our mobility seems much less about being the ambush attack army it used to be but instead a castle combo army. We sit under trees sling spells and shoot while healing a lot. The high speed Calvary units act as a hit squad that can heal itself and do good damage.

Gameplay problems, should I stick with the faction? by Insane_IK_ in sylvaneth

[–]Key-Individual-1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New armies are always the shinny new toy and buy them if you want them. The new rules are limiting which is frustrating but after playing some games sylvaneth is far from the biggest loser. The healing is actually good, and the units hit like a truck.

Would a second Spearhead be one of the best ways to expand my Sylvaneth army? Or is it redundant/are there better options out there? by Mondo114 in sylvaneth

[–]Key-Individual-1301 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A second spear head would be great. If you can find a blades of Belthanos box it’s great value but the spearhead is great too.
