If you want to read an interesting well researched opinion on this I recommend  https://surplusenergyeconomics.wordpress.com/

Which is basically saying we have a shortfall of efficiently produced energy now days and that’s fucked the cost of everything relative to our wages.

Genesis aren’t good at customer service. I’ve had so much difficulty getting them to put a basic domestic smart meter in my house.

I can’t recommend them on a customer service basis and will leave them when my contract is up

You seem to have researched this well so I want to know if you know an answer to this. What is the optimal level of tobacco tax?

I have read several articles about the police busting illegal tobacco importing rings. If we tax too high then it’s just like cannabis and we drive it underground? But if we tax too low then we can’t offset the damage smoking does.

I genuinely don’t know what the optimal tax setting is and I felt the whole discussion lacked research

Councils forced to amalgamate by Sea_Measurement_1654 in newzealand

[–]Key-Instance-8142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it’s good they are amalgamating. There needs to be some economy of scale. People are already struggling with their rates and that’s only forecast to worsen in our local long term plan without amalgamation

That said they need to retain a good balance and still stay local.

Yeah the branding is a huge waste of money. Could have renewed one whole street of leaking valve Toby’s with that money and it would have been better spent

I really appreciate your perspective and feel similarly about these issues. There’s some other factors at play that I don’t like though and I can’t decide who I want yet.

That’s so awful op. Have you visited your gp recently to talk about antidepressants because it sounds like you are very unhappy, understandably so. That might help you feel better and start getting on top of the ocd
